One of the adventure genre’s forefathers, Broken Sword, is on its way back to PS5.
The classic adventure game Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror is being remastered for modern computers and consoles with a new ‘Reforged’ edition.
The project recently launched on Kickstarter and was funded almost immediately. It reached its initial funding goal in under 15 minutes, thanks to developer Revolution Software.
We originally aimed to raise £50,000, but we’ve already received £310,967 with 27 days left in the campaign!
Charles Cecil, co-founder and director of the studio, expressed immense gratitude for the incredible support received for the project. He shared how honored they are by the community’s trust and how proud they are of the passion fans have for their games. He assured supporters that they will continue to deliver high-quality games in the future.
Revolution Software, the team behind the popular Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Reforged, is releasing a new game. Based on the positive reception of their previous title, we anticipate this one will be excellent as well.
It’s not clear exactly when the game will be complete, but it should be one worth waiting for.
