Square Enix recently shared a new trailer for *The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales*, their upcoming HD-2D action RPG set to release in 2026. Along with the trailer for *Octopath Traveler II*, the new footage highlights the game’s combat system, which features seven unique weapon types used by the main character, Elliot. You can watch the trailer below.
Elliot has access to various tools like a bow, sword, and grappling hook. His fairy companion, Faie, adds unique abilities, including a short-range teleport that helps him overcome obstacles and quickly cross collapsing platforms.
The gameplay looks good, but the story is what really grabs your attention. The trailer suggests a war between beast tribes, with humanity stuck in the middle, and hints at time travel playing a role. It’s still unclear how all of this will unfold, so we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
