Square Enix recently shared a new trailer for *The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales*, their upcoming HD-2D action RPG set to release in 2026. Along with the trailer for *Octopath Traveler II*, the new footage highlights the game’s combat system, which features seven unique weapon types used by the main character, Elliot. Elliot has access to various tools like a bow, sword, and grappling hook. His fairy companion, Faie, adds unique abilities, including a short-range teleport that helps him overcome obstacles and quickly cross collapsing platforms.
The gameplay looks good, but the story is what really grabs your attention. The trailer suggests a war between beast tribes, with humanity stuck in the middle, and hints at time travel playing a role. It’s still unclear how all of this will unfold, so we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
