■ Age of Magic

Long before the time of Reconstruction came the Age of Magic, a golden age for humanity. Incredible advances in magical technology led to widespread prosperity and even allowed people to push back against the beast tribes.

Despite current success, things are headed for disaster. Something is clearly wrong, and the system is starting to break down.

Weyzn

Weyzn is a magical country known for its beautiful architecture, a stark contrast to the more rugged, beastmen-populated lands of Philabieldia that Elliot knows well. Its wealth comes from two powerful magical research centers: Forthewor, which relentlessly seeks magical innovation through any method, and Formanit, which focuses on using magic to improve the lives of its people. Magic is essential to everyday life in Weyzn, and research into its possibilities never stops.

■ Characters

Fausta (voiced by Elizabeth Maxwell in English, Sayaka Oohara in Japanese)

Originally from Fort Worth, this highly knowledgeable researcher left their previous position to establish and lead the Formanit Institute.

Her earnest and rigorous approach to research has earned her the profound trust of her employees.

Marnie (voiced by Suzie Yeung, Sayumi Suzushiro in Japanese)

This researcher works at the Formanit Institute and specializes in magic technology, specifically how it connects with mechanical engineering. She also studies magical creatures called thaumata by testing them in real-world environments.

Marnie admires Director Fausta and dedicates herself completely to the institute’s mission of using magical research to improve people’s lives.

Hildebrandt (voiced by Christopher Smith in English, Show Hayami in Japanese)

He’s the director of the Forthewor Institute, known for getting things done. His exceptional research led to his early appointment, and the people of Weyzn greatly respect him for his advancements in magic.

Ikarus (voiced by Chris Okawa in English, Yuuya Uchida in Japanese)

Lord Valerius is a respected and serious leader of Weyzn, dedicated to his duties as governor. He worries about Forthewor’s impulsive drive for advancement and therefore works closely with Fausta, seeking her counsel and guidance.

■ System: Weapon Enhancements

Elliot has access to seven different weapons that will help him on his journey. Each weapon type has more powerful versions available, offering increased damage and enhanced special abilities. Explore the caves and ruins across different eras to discover these weapons and stay ahead of the game.

Keep an eye out for hidden areas off the beaten path—you might find some powerful weapons there. It’s worth exploring everywhere you go!

A better weapon opens up more options for combining it with others or enhancing it with magic. Always consider new ways to fight when you find a new weapon.

■ System: Magicite Enhancements

Magicite enhances weapons with different abilities, and its power varies depending on its rarity. Even if two magicite offer the same ability, the rarer one will be stronger. Creating magicite frequently increases your chances of getting rarer, more powerful versions, so it’s best to start crafting them early and often.

Lightning Mallet magicite enhances hammer attacks with lightning. Stronger versions create more lightning strikes and affect a larger area.

You can only equip a certain amount of magicite, and stronger magicite usually takes up more space. Luckily, rarer magicite is more efficient, letting you customize your equipment more freely.

■ Adventuring Diversion: Faie’s Magic Lessons

Discovering new fairy magic for Faie opens up fun minigames that act as magic lessons. You can earn points during each lesson by using the magic you’ve just learned. Your score will determine the rewards you receive, which include access to the game’s soundtrack.

—Access Faie’s magic lessons from her part of the menu.

You can find records to listen to in the Music menu. Besides earning points, you might even be able to collect some while you’re playing minigames.

Magic Lesson: Sprint

Ski or snowboard down the snowy hill as fast as you can to earn points! Get to the finish line before the avalanche hits to score even more.

Magic Lesson: Warp

Navigate a dangerous, lava-filled stage by quickly teleporting between platforms. Be careful – some platforms shift and disappear, and certain walls can be tricky to warp through.

The game The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales will be released on June 18th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (through Steam and the Microsoft Store).
