Following the release of The Batman in 2022, progress on a sequel has been slow and filled with setbacks, making it feel distant. However, The Batman Part II is finally gaining traction. Recently, key creative team members were confirmed, and the first casting announcements were made. While Zoe Kravitz won’t be returning as Selina Kyle, director Matt Reeves has cast Scarlett Johansson, known for her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in a significant part.
More details about the cast of The Batman Part II have been announced. Production on the sequel is set to begin this spring, and Deadline reports that Sebastian Stan will join the film, acting alongside Robert Pattinson as Batman and his former Marvel co-star, Scarlett Johansson. While it’s interesting to see another Marvel actor join a DC movie, the biggest questions now are: what character will Stan play, and how will this affect his role in future Marvel projects?
The Batman Part II is scheduled for release on October 1, 2027.
This is a developing story, it will be updated.
