The Best Dressed Celebrities in Golden Globes Red Carpet History

These Golden Globes looks are best in show.

Based on previous years, the 2026 Golden Globes—airing live on January 11th from The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles—will likely be filled with stunning red carpet fashion. Before then, let’s revisit some of the most memorable and impressive looks from past ceremonies.

Ariana Grande turned heads at the 2025 event in a classic Givenchy gown. The singer, nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Glinda in Wicked: For Good, subtly referenced the famous yellow brick road with her pale lemon-colored dress as she walked the red carpet.

Everyone was talking about Zendaya’s striking orange Louis Vuitton gown! While the dress itself had a beautiful, flowing train, most people noticed her impressive engagement ring from Tom Holland, which she first showed off before the awards ceremony.

The Golden Globes have always been known for memorable fashion moments. Back in 1990, Julia Roberts caused a stir—and made headlines—with a now-famous, dramatically oversized suit by Giorgio Armani when she walked the red carpet.

In January 2024, the actress from Pretty Woman told Vogue that this outfit was a personal favorite from the Golden Globes. She styled her own hair, her friend did her makeup, and she found the suit at an Armani store in Beverly Hills. They altered the suit—which she found in the men’s department—to perfectly fit her.

More than 35 years later, fashion lovers are still not over her gender-defying look.

She explained that she didn’t realize the outfit would become so iconic. She simply thought she looked great at the time, and she still owns the suit.

Some celebrities really embraced the golden theme, looking like awards themselves! Emma Stone, for example, stunned in a sheer, sparkling gown from Louis Vuitton at the 2024 event. Beyoncé also famously wore a beautiful, fitted gold dress by Elie Saab back in 2007.

I’ve been a huge fan of Golden Globes fashion for years, and what I’ve shared here is just a small taste of the incredible looks we’ve seen over the years. If you want to see even more of my favorite Globes fashion moments, keep scrolling – you won’t be disappointed!

As a style enthusiast, I always remember Beyoncé’s look from the 2007 awards show! She was nominated for Best Actress for her amazing work in Dream Girls, and she absolutely shone on the red carpet. She wore a stunning Elie Saab halter gown, and the whole look was perfectly finished with some seriously sparkly jewelry. It was a classic moment!

Lady Gaga looked stunning in a pale purple Valentino gown with exaggerated sleeves when she accepted the award for Best Original Song for “Shallow” from the movie A Star is Born.

The Steel Magnolias actress, who received the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in 1990, made a striking impression in a large Georgio Armani suit and a classic 1980s hairstyle.

Jennifer Aniston, known for her role on Friends, stunned on the 1997 Golden Globes red carpet. She wore a sophisticated high-neck Valentino dress with a matching clutch, and complemented her dark hair with dramatic makeup. Her appearance was a highlight of the 54th annual event.

Shailene Woodley, known for Big Little Lies, turned heads at the 2010 red carpet event in a flowing Nina Ricci gown. The dress featured elegant satin bows and a high slit. Although she didn’t win Best Actress for Rabbit Hole that night, her beautiful peach-colored outfit was a standout moment.

Oh my gosh, Zendaya absolutely killed it at the Golden Globes! That burnt orange Louis Vuitton dress was made for her, seriously. And she was nominated for Challengers, which she totally deserved, playing Tashi Duncan was incredible! But honestly? The dress wasn’t even the best part. She was wearing a ring… a ring from Tom Holland! On that finger! I almost lost it, it was the most amazing thing ever! I’ve been shipping them forever, and now it’s official! I can’t breathe!

Oh my gosh, did you see them at that event in ’91? They were just… perfect together, even then! She wore this amazing black dress, you know, knee-length with a really daring low neckline, and a bright red lip – she always knows how to make a statement. And Johnny? He was all classic Hollywood in a gorgeous gray and blue pinstripe suit. Seriously, they were a power couple even back then, and their outfits just proved it!

The 56th annual Golden Globes were a glamorous affair, and Angelina Jolie shone brightly. She won the award for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie for her performance in Gia. At the 1999 ceremony, she captivated the audience in a stunning, crystal-covered gown designed by Randolph Duke Couture.

At the 2023 awards show, Angela Bassett, star of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, made history as the first actor to win a major individual acting award for a Marvel Cinematic Universe film. She looked radiant while accepting the award, wearing a stunning Pamella Roland gown and Chopard jewelry.

Before captivating audiences with her vibrant style during the Barbie promotion, the actress – who received a 2023 nomination for her work in Babylon – wore a stunning Chanel halter top in Barbie’s iconic pink. It’s said the dress took over 750 hours to create.

The actress had a fairytale moment at the 2017 award show, wearing a beautiful, romantic lace gown by Zuhair Murad Couture in a soft pink color.

The Scandal star stuns in a golden embroidered gown by Dolce & Gabbana.

Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake’s wife, turned heads at the 2017 red carpet event. She wore a stunning and revealing Elie Saab gown, a departure from her usual fashion choices.

The Westworld actress showed that a glamorous dress isn’t necessary to be considered one of the best dressed. At the 2017 Golden Globes, she wore a perfectly tailored Altuzarra suit inspired by menswear.

The actress turned heads at the 2015 Golden Globes wearing a beautiful Gucci dress and a striking snake necklace.

Jessica looked absolutely stunning at the 2013 Golden Globes. We think her coral Oscar de la Renta dress, combined with the dazzling Harry Winston jewelry, was her best red carpet moment yet.
