Last weekend, I got to try out a bunch of new games at the Summer Game Fest Play Days event in Los Angeles. It was pretty hot!
After Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest presentation, people at Play Days can try out the games that were shown. They can either play demos themselves or watch presentations of the games.
This year, TopMob Gaming had the chance to experience Play Days for the first time. It was a relaxed and welcoming event, feeling more personal and less overwhelming compared to the large-scale Gamescom conference in Europe.
But which games caught our eye? Keep on reading and you’ll find out!
Summer Game Fest 2026 highlights: 8 upcoming games to wishlist now
Grave Seasons

Grave Seasons is a unique take on the popular farming simulator genre, blending cozy gameplay with a thrilling murder mystery. Imagine Stardew Valley… but with crimes to solve!
During our twenty-minute preview of the game—developed by Perfect Garbage and published by Blumhouse Games—we saw a mix of its relaxing and unsettling elements.
The game begins with an exciting escape: you play as a character breaking out of prison and finding refuge in an abandoned farmhouse. After that, things settle down as you meet a kind neighbor who offers help getting your farm going with some seeds.
The story offers lots of different possibilities, as many of the townspeople are hiding secrets – some may even be murderers! Players can use a crowbar to enter any home and look for clues that reveal what these characters are really like.
Grave Seasons will launch on 14 August 2026 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
Turok Origins

A truly great co-op game lets you instantly connect with anyone and have fun – even complete strangers. We experienced that firsthand with Turok Origins; it was a huge hit when we played it with people we’d never met before.
My friends and I—two Americans—played two rounds of Turok Origins, the newest version of the dinosaur-themed action game that first came out in 1997.
The game lets you pick from three characters, each with unique skills and strengths. We chose one character apiece and immediately found ourselves in a vibrant forest filled with – unsurprisingly – hostile dinosaurs.
Communicating through headsets, we quickly defeated our opponents. We figured out how to combine our special abilities and experienced a variety of challenges, including epic boss fights and missions focused on disabling defenses and destroying key targets.
The biggest surprise was how funny the game turned out to be. There were a few platforming sections where we were all cracking up, especially when one player kept getting stuck and repeatedly dying in the same spot – though I definitely wasn’t the one struggling!
I had a really good time playing this with my friends, and I think anyone who likes teaming up to fight enemies will too. If you’re an Outriders player, you’ll definitely get a kick out of it!
Turok Origins is coming to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2 in Autumn 2026.
Arizona Sunshine

Occasionally, the most promising games aren’t found at the big events. I had the chance to preview Arizona Sunshine when the developers came to town for a smaller IGN event, separate from the main Play Days conference. Despite a moment of hesitation, I met them at their hotel to try out the game.
Fortunately, everything went smoothly as two helpful players from the Netherlands showed me around the impressive new console and PC version of Arizona Sunshine. This game is already very popular in virtual reality, and the developers are now using what they’ve learned to create a great experience for those playing on regular screens.
I really enjoyed the game! It’s funny and a lot of fun to play, especially the zombie combat. The story is pretty simple: you play as the last person alive after a zombie outbreak, and as you survive alone, fighting off waves of zombies in Arizona, you slowly start to lose your grip on reality – that’s where the game’s title comes from.
The game is already fully functional on the Steam Deck, and you can enjoy it solo or with a friend in two-player co-op – the second player is actually a creation of the main character’s mind. But the best part? You can play as the hero’s dog and rip zombies apart! Who wouldn’t want to do that?
Arizona Sunshine will release later in 2026 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
Stuntman: Hollywood

Saber Interactive is teaming up with Universal to revive the Stuntman game series. This time, players will perform driving stunts based on scenes from popular movies.
You can even drive the DeLorean from Back to the Future and hit 88 miles per hour – the speed needed for time travel! We had a blast playing that scene, along with a few other memorable moments from different movies.
The game is simple to pick up, but challenging to become truly skilled at. As a stunt driver, you’ll need to carefully follow the director’s cues to perfectly execute each scene.

Each level presents a series of quick challenges – whether it’s skillfully navigating turns, crashing through obstacles, or reaching specific points on time. While it might take a couple of tries to figure out the best way to complete a level, they’re all brief and enjoyable, so you won’t mind replaying them.
The director’s funny voiceover adds some welcome humor, offering lighthearted moments as you progress in the game and the challenges become tougher.
The developers haven’t shared a complete list of movies with playable stunts yet, but I’m excited to see what they include! The stunts from some of the later movies in the demo were particularly impressive.
Stuntman: Hollywood will come to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on an unconfirmed date.
Fable

The Xbox Games Showcase filled almost an entire day at Summer Game Fest. I saw previews of games like Halo: Campaign Evolved, Gears of War: E-Day, and Spyro: A Realm Beyond, but one game especially caught my attention.
Okay, so the game that really grabbed my attention was Fable. Playground Games is making it, and they dropped a trailer at the showcase featuring Hayley Atwell – yeah, Peggy Carter from the Marvel movies – as the villain. I was lucky enough to get a hands-on look behind the scenes, and I’ve already shared all about how it played in another article.
Both previews show Fable looking like a truly outstanding game – and it’s being developed right here in Britain! The open world of Albion will be full of characters to interact with, and if the story is engaging and the gameplay is solid, this could be a major hit.
Fable will launch for Xbox Series X/S and PC on 23 February 2027.

Clutch

In my review of Forza Horizon 6, I mentioned my only real wish was for a more compelling story to go with its amazing open-world racing. Now, with the release of Clutch, that’s exactly what I’ve found.
Maverick Games was founded by developers who previously worked on the Forza racing series, and their experience really shows in the game’s beautiful environments and fluid gameplay. Beyond that, it features a compelling story campaign brought to life with high-quality performance capture – including actor Tosin Cole (known for Doctor Who) as the main character, Theo. The narrative centers around themes of family, heritage, crime, and unfolds across England and France.
If you liked the story modes in previous F1 games, you’ll probably enjoy this one too. The game also features a great soundtrack, including music from The Killers and Robbie Williams. We’re excited to see the final product!
Clutch launches spring 2027 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Mr Records

Mr Records blends the quirky visual style of Thank Goodness You’re Here with the energetic level design of Rayman Legends and the cool, smooth atmosphere of OlliOlli World, creating a truly unique experience.
You’re an elderly man running a new record store. When he listens to records by himself at home, he envisions vibrant platforming worlds where you jump, slide, and kick—all in time with the unique music blasting in your ears.
During store hours, you’ll help customers find the records they want, whether they’re looking for a specific music style or a particular album cover. Both the process of helping customers and finding the right records were really enjoyable, and I’m eager to do it again.
Valor Mortis

Lastly, I recently played Valor Mortis, a challenging game similar to the Souls series. It takes the familiar elements of those games—like carefully dodging enemy attacks and precise timing—and puts them into a first-person view, offering a fresh take on the genre.
You’re an English soldier unexpectedly contacted by Napoleon himself – and he needs your help! His French army has fallen under a strange, monstrous curse, and it’s up to you to set things right. It’s a familiar story with a surprising twist.
I was happy to find the game’s tutorial wasn’t overly difficult. I did stumble a couple of times – once when surrounded by enemies, and again during the demo’s final boss fight. But I quickly picked up the core mechanics and started customizing my character to fit how I like to play. I’m definitely adding this one to my wishlist!
