Developer Rebel Wolves unveiled additional information about their upcoming action RPG, “The Blood of Dawnwalker“. During the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025, team members from the studio offered a glimpse into the gameplay of the forthcoming title and discussed the types of abilities that protagonist Coen will be able to utilize. Here’s a sneak peek below.
In the video, we observed several skills on display, including Planeshift – a feature enabling characters to teleport throughout the game environment, traverse buildings’ sides or even scale cliffs. Additionally, there were numerous demonstrations of the upcoming game’s melee combat, which appears to blend speed with powerful strikes, necessitating strategic planning for each encounter.
The video showcases Konrad Tomszkiewicz, the game director, and Rafal Jankowski, the lead quest designer, discussing the creative process behind the development of “The Blood of Dawnwalker.” They delve into various aspects such as transforming Coen into a vampire with daytime human vulnerabilities, along with details about the design of the game’s world.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is slated for release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2026.
