The Blood of Dawnwalker Has a Wolf Transformation and Pseudo Nemesis System That Dictates Infamy

I’m so excited! Rebel Wolves just showed off some new gameplay from The Blood of Dawnwalker, and it looks amazing. It starts with Coen up high, scoping out the world – you can see villages, forests, and all sorts of interesting places from his viewpoint. It really gives you a feel for how open the world is going to be!

The map now displays important locations like soldier camps, quests, people needing assistance, watchtowers, and hidden mysteries. At night, Coen can shift into a wolf for increased speed, and even change back to human form mid-run to perform a powerful attack, eliminating enemies before combat begins. Based on player feedback, we’ve simplified ability switching – you can now use a Quick Selection feature without needing to open the skill wheel.

You’ll need to restore shrines, which involves traveling to a camp, defeating Brencis’s soldiers, and retrieving the heart. Restoring shrines unlocks new Perks, but it also moves time forward. Besides gaining skill points, you’ll also need to increase your Corruption Level, and you can do that by feeding.

Removing vampire camps will increase your notoriety, making the Vampire Lords more aggressive. They’ll respond by implementing new measures, such as increasing military presence. This creates a dynamic system where your actions – specifically, irritating certain Lords – unlock unique story quests and ultimately shape the narrative.

You’ll also find Haunted Sights, which can boost your skills, but accessing them requires a special ritual called Astral Communion. This sends you to another dimension for a difficult battle. And as you see in the final scene, there’s much more to discover – exploring the game world will reveal even more things to do.

The game Blood of Dawnwalker will be available on September 3rd for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. It will cost $69.99.
