The headset is still a great option today, with many exciting games coming out for it. Plus, Sony Pictures Virtual Reality is developing a new game based on the popular and critically acclaimed TV show, The Boys – a stealth action experience fans will definitely want to check out.
Called The Boys: Trigger Warning, this new installment will continue the story with the original actors and writers returning. It’s being created by ARVORE, a studio known for its VR game Pixel Ripped 1978.
Studio founder Ricardo Justus said:
We always knew we wanted to create this adaptation with the people who originally created the world it’s based on. Collaborating with the show’s writers and actors let us capture the series’ signature grit, comedy, and intensity, and blend it with the unique creative energy that ARVORE is known for.
The new game will offer a stealth-focused experience, putting players directly into the conflict against super-powered beings.

As a huge fan of The Boys, I’m so hyped for Trigger Warning! It’s a VR game made with the people behind the show, and even features some of the actors! You play as a brand new character who stumbles onto a seriously messed up secret about Vought, and things quickly go downhill from there. Basically, you end up with powers and have to team up with The Boys to get revenge, sneaking around and fighting your way through Vought’s craziness. It’s got that same dark, twisted humor we all love, but in a totally immersive virtual reality experience, and it tells a fresh story within the world we already know.

While a precise release date hasn’t been announced, the game is expected in 2026. With this and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 both coming out, 2024 looks like another great year for PlayStation VR2.
