The Boys’ next spin-off series Vought Rising gets first look teaser trailer – and fans get an idea of how long they have to wait

Though ‘The Boys’ season four has finished, the universe continues to grow. The creators have released a trailer for the new prequel series, ‘Vought Rising,’ and given fans their first glimpse of some new superheroes.

I’m so excited! They’ve officially announced the spin-off, and it’s coming to Prime Video in 2027. It’s going to be a real trip back in time – the story will be set in the 1950s, which is about 70 years before everything that happened in the original show we all love.

This show is the latest addition to the world of ‘The Boys,’ alongside the original ‘The Boys’ series (which just finished its run), ‘Gen V’ (which concluded after two seasons), and the animated show ‘The Boys: Diabolical’.

Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, both original stars of the show, return in this installment, and their complex connection takes a major role in the plot.

During the 1950s, Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) is at the height of his heroic career, and Clara Vought (Claudia Doumit), who will later become known as Stormfront, hasn’t yet revealed her true, extremist nature.

The show will delve into the complicated beginnings of Vought International, but details are currently being kept secret.

The first short preview shows Soldier Boy talking to Clara in New York after World War II, where he expresses his desire to be a hero.

“There is a brighter future,” she tells him with a German accent. “All we have to do is take it.”

I’m really excited about the new cast members they’ve added! We got our first glimpse of Mason Dye as Bombsight, Will Hochman playing Torpedo, and Elizabeth Posey stepping into the role of Private Angel. They all look great in the initial photos, and I can’t wait to see them in action.

The new heroes are being presented as the leaders of a fresh wave of crimefighting, with widespread media coverage celebrating them as national heroes.

Each is given a new Supe persona, perfectly emblematic of post-war era heroes from the frontline.

Private Angel wears a nurse’s outfit, Bombsight looks like someone from the Air Force, and Torpedo is dressed in a uniform similar to a Marine’s.

But there’s more to see – other footage shows intense and violent action as the team springs into action. Check it out below!

We also see inside The Sage Grove Center, a place claiming to be a psychiatric facility, where doctors are secretly working to create Compound V – a substance that grants people superpowers.

The result, as you can imagine, is something truly diabolical.

The cast of Vought Rising is complete with the addition of KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith.

Paul Grellong is the new showrunner, and Eric Kripke, who leads ‘The Boys,’ will oversee the series as an executive producer.

I’m so excited to see Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles taking on even more responsibility as executive producers on this project! They’ll be joining a really impressive team, including Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, and the incredible creative minds behind the source material, Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, along with Michaela Starr and Jim Barnes. It’s a fantastic group of people all working together!

As a huge fan of thrilling shows, I have to tell you, The Boys is completely available to stream on Prime Video right now. And if you haven’t tried Amazon Prime Video yet, they offer a free 30-day trial – perfect for diving in!
