What’s The Chronology Of Water trailer about?
Lidia’s story, told in The Chronology of Water, follows her escape from a difficult childhood marked by violence and alcoholism. She navigates challenges like competitive swimming, complicated relationships, and addiction, ultimately finding liberation and self-expression through writing. The book explores how trauma, especially that experienced by women and girls, can be powerfully reshaped into art by reclaiming personal and painful histories.
The on screen talent……
Based on Lidia Yuknavitch’s celebrated memoir, The Chronology of Water is a new film directed by Kristen Stewart and starring Imogen Poots (known for her roles in The Father, Green Room, and Vivarium). Poots delivers a bold and moving performance, supported by a talented cast including Jim Belushi, Thora Birch, and Kim Gordon. The film is a beautifully shot and honest look at finding yourself, dealing with hardship, and building strength. We recently previewed the film and were particularly impressed by Poots, who tackles a challenging and often difficult role with remarkable skill.
