Embark Studios has announced that online services for THE FINALS on PlayStation 4 will end on March 18, 2026, coinciding with the launch of the game’s tenth season. This means the game will no longer be playable online on PS4 after that date.
I was so excited when THE FINALS finally came out! It launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC through Steam on December 7th, 2023. Then, thankfully, they brought it to PlayStation 4 on December 12th, 2024, so even more of us could play!
The PlayStation 4 version will have been running for a year and three months when it stops being supported.
Here is the full message from Embark Studios on the PlayStation 4 version’s end of service:
Starting with Season 10 on March 18, 2026, we will no longer support THE FINALS on PlayStation 4 and will be concentrating our efforts on newer gaming systems.
After that, you’ll need to continue playing on that server to keep experiencing the game. Don’t worry, everything you earn and buy will be saved to your Embark ID and will be accessible no matter where you decide to play in the future.
Thank you to all our amazing PlayStation 4 players! We’ll see you in the game!
