“The Invite” focuses on Joe and Angela’s struggling marriage, which is further complicated when they host a dinner party for their mysterious upstairs neighbors, leading to a night full of surprises.
The origins of The Invite trailer…
The film stars Olivia Wilde, who also directed, along with Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz, and Edward Norton. It received positive feedback after screenings at film festivals last year. Originally, Amy Adams, Paul Rudd, and Tessa Thompson were set to star, but the project faced delays. A new cast was eventually assembled. The script, written by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, has also been praised. This movie is an English-language adaptation of the 2020 Spanish film, ‘The People Upstairs’.
