After being pushed back from its original May release, The Relic: First Guardian now has a confirmed launch date of July 31st for PlayStation 5 and PC. Versions for Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 are planned to follow later this summer.
We’ve been eagerly anticipating this Soulslike game since it was first revealed. The story unfolds on Asiltus, a world that flourished before being consumed by a destructive void caused by the shattering of an important artifact. You’ll need to recover the lost fragments of this relic – but beware! Many dangerous enemies and challenging bosses stand between you and your goal. Thankfully, you’ll have plenty of skills and abilities at your disposal to overcome them.
A new gameplay trailer (available below) just dropped, giving us a first look at how the game plays. We’re really excited by what we’ve seen – it looks like you’ll be dodging enemy attacks and unleashing powerful combos, all while using elemental powers in a cool and effective way.
