Anna Faris is looking back at a difficult time in her life.

Almost ten years after her split from Chris Pratt, the actress from Scary Movie 6 recently opened up about how she coped with the end of their nine-year marriage.

Honestly, I was just really down, you know? I told Variety about it recently. I always thought I was strong enough to handle things, to keep Hollywood from changing me too much. I’ve been dealing with this level of attention for 26 years now, and I guess I was kidding myself if I thought it hadn’t affected me. But still… it’s just… the constant judging and watching? It’s awful, truly awful. Especially when it comes to my Jack, who’s 13 and deserves better.

The 49-year-old, who married Michael Barrett in 2021, was thankful to have had her podcast, Anna Faris is Unqualified, during a difficult time. Looking back, she realized the podcast and its community provided essential support.

She felt fortunate to have her podcast during that period. It reminded her of talk radio – she’d initially hoped for just a small, dedicated audience and wanted to create a close-knit community. The podcast gave her a way to connect with people independently of Hollywood.

Faris shared that although she didn’t often discuss her personal life on the podcast, which ended in 2023, she truly valued the sense of safety and support it provided.

The actress fondly remembers bringing her son, Jack, home from the hospital. The early years were challenging, filled with doctor visits, five surgeries, and physical therapy, but also with a lot of joy – she describes Jack as the most adorable child she could imagine.

Now a teenager, Jack still comes to his parents for guidance. The actress shared that, like many parents, she often wonders if she’s doing a good job raising him. When Jack asks for her help, it reassures her that she’s on the right track and makes her incredibly proud.

Joseph Baena is Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son, born from a relationship with his former housekeeper, Mildred Patricia Baena. Joseph was born in 1997, but Arnold didn’t discover he was the father until years later.

In his 2023 documentary, Arnold, Schwarzenegger explained that he had an affair in 1996 and initially tried to keep it hidden. He admitted to questioning how to maintain secrecy as Joseph grew older and increasingly resembled him.
