If you’re eagerly awaiting an adventure game with a linear storyline reminiscent of the Uncharted series on PS5, then it looks like Mafia: The Old Country is perfectly timed for your tastes.
This recently released 10-minute gameplay video, uniquely recorded by IGN, appears reminiscent of a forgotten Naughty Dog journey, but in a favorable manner.
Although there are some areas where the quality could be improved, it’s clear that the character of Nathan Drake is deeply ingrained throughout this game. From its methodical, narrative-focused beginning to the explosive emergence of stealth and cover-based fighting.

As the character Enzo Favara, you’ll initially wield throwing knives that are useful for stealthy maneuvers. However, as the game progresses, you may need to switch to more noisy weapons such as shotguns and pistols.
As a gamer, I’ve found that the gauntlet has a thoughtfully crafted rhythm, evoking memories of Uncharted. What makes it stand out is the freedom to tailor my approach to the action according to my gaming style and preferences.
Some might argue that it appears somewhat old-fashioned due to the recent trend of adventure games expanding in size. However, we find ourselves reminiscent of the PS3 era ambiance – it’s been quite some time since we’ve immersed ourselves in a straightforward linear third-person shooter like this one, and truth be told, we’ve missed them dearly.
So, where do you stand on the subject? The game priced at $49.99/£44.99 is slightly lower compared to most PS5 games, so keep in mind this cost difference when making your choice.
