The charming adventure RPG, The Witch’s Bakery, is coming to the next-generation Nintendo Switch (Switch 2) in 2026, along with versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, current Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. This was announced by publisher Silver Lining Interactive and developer Sunny Lab.
Here is an overview of the game, via Silver Lining Interactive:
About
In The Witch’s Bakery, you play as a cheerful witch who starts a bakery in modern-day Paris. She has a unique gift: she can sense what people are feeling and use magic to help heal their emotions. It’s a 2D adventure RPG!
Your Daily Life as a Witch-Baker in Paris
You play as Lunne, who has just arrived in the city! Each day is split into three phases:
- Daytime – When Lunne manages her bakery and serves clients with her team of friends.
- Evening – When Lunne explores Paris, builds relationships, discovers the city’s secrets and goes inside her friends’ troubled heart.
- Night – When Lunne rests, improves her magic, decorates her bakery and spends time in her cosy atelier.
As the story unfolds over time, you’ll gain experience, earn money, and become famous. Along the way, you’ll make new friends and help them through their problems.
A Colorful Paris in a Joyful Adventure
After work, you can explore different parts of Paris, meet interesting people, learn new skills through activities, and even collect recipes by purchasing books.
I recently stumbled upon this amazing spot in Paris called “Le Quai des Bouquinistes” – it’s in the sixth arrondissement. It’s basically a haven for book lovers, but it’s also packed with cool stuff like vinyl records, posters, and vintage magazines. Oh, and you get an incredible view of Notre-Dame too, which is a huge bonus!
Each district has its own characters, activities and shops!
A Story About Emotions and Vulnerability
I’m completely fascinated by Lunne’s ability to help people who are really closed off emotionally. It’s like she can actually go inside their heart – she calls it the ‘Heart Palace,’ and it’s this amazing place where all their feelings and thoughts become real, almost like characters. Her job is to find these personified emotions and gently guide them back where they belong, back to the person’s heart. It’s such a beautiful and unique way to deal with emotional struggles!
Deep within the Heart Palace, Lunne uncovers a person’s hidden pain and finds the special ingredient for a bread that can help them heal.
