It’s easy to assume only high-quality TV shows get renewed, but that’s not always the case. Surprisingly, one of the most critically panned shows of 2025 has been given a second season. It seems negative reviews aren’t necessarily fatal, as long as the show generates a lot of online discussion. In fact, the attention doesn’t even need to be positive – simply being talked about is enough to keep a show alive.
Hulu has already renewed its new series, All’s Fair, for a second season, even before the last two episodes of the first season are released. Created by Ryan Murphy, known for American Horror Story and Monster, the show premiered on November 4th with three episodes and has been releasing new episodes weekly. Ratings show it was Hulu’s biggest original scripted premiere in three years, and it’s consistently been among the most-watched shows on the platform since its debut. It’s expected to remain popular through the season finale on December 9th.
Despite receiving extremely poor reviews – a mere 3% on Rotten Tomatoes – the TV series All’s Fair has surprisingly been renewed. While viewers give it a 66% rating, the critical reception is shockingly low. Given that many other, better-rated shows were canceled or ended in 2025, the renewal is catching a lot of people off guard.
The new film, All’s Fair, boasts an impressive cast of well-known actresses and actors, including Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts (known for The Ring), Niecy Nash-Betts (Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story), Teyana Taylor (One Battle After Another), Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story), Ed O’Neill (Modern Family), and Glenn Close (Damages).

The show stars Kim Kardashian as Allura Grant, a divorce lawyer who leads a team of women attorneys. They’ve all left a traditional, male-dominated firm to start their own successful practice. These smart and complex women handle high-profile, messy divorces, dealing with secrets and constantly changing loyalties, both with their clients and each other. It’s a world of wealth and heartbreak, where these lawyers aren’t just participants – they’re determined to redefine the rules.
Hulu hasn’t announced when they’ll start making the second season of All’s Fair, or when it might be released. You can watch the first season on Hulu now.
