Thick as Thieves is Out Now on PC

Interested in a cooperative stealth game with a focus on thievery, made by the team behind classic titles like Thief and Deus Ex? OtherSide Entertainment’s Thick as Thieves is now available on PC for $5, and includes a four-hour introductory campaign. You can watch the launch trailer below.

In Thick as Thieves, you play as a rookie thief in the 1900s city of Kilcairn, aiming to become a master criminal. You can tackle heists alone or team up with friends, and customize your approach with six different gear options. The game features two maps and 16 missions, but its standout feature is the random conditions that change each playthrough, forcing you to adapt your strategies and keep things fresh.

We initially intended to create a game with player-versus-environment, player-versus-player, and player-versus-environment-versus-player elements. However, the developer explained on Steam that they discovered the most engaging part of the game wasn’t structured combat or large cities. Instead, it was the spontaneous, creative moments where players reacted to situations using whatever tools were available, almost forgetting they were playing a game at all.

The team is thrilled players are now experiencing the game, but they describe the current version as just a taste of what’s to come. They envision a much larger and more detailed world where players, especially thieves, can explore more of the city, uncover its secrets, and find new ways to interact with the game and each other. This suggests they plan to add more content, possibly even new story campaigns, though nothing is officially confirmed yet.

The game Thick as Thieves is also being created for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, but we don’t have a release date yet. We’ll share more information as soon as it’s available, and we expect to have updates within the next few months.
