A fantastic, lesser-known anime on Crunchyroll is returning in 2026, and a new release window has been revealed. 2025 was a great year for anime, with many new series and returning favorites. Now, as the Fall 2025 season comes to a close, fans are looking forward to what 2026 will bring, and it’s already promising to be another excellent year for anime.
I’m excited to see Classroom of the Elite return! The popular anime series is getting a fourth season, and we now have a confirmed premiere date: April 2026. Originally, we only knew it was planned for 2026, but now it’s official for the Spring anime season. They’ve also just released a new trailer and poster, which you can check out to get a sneak peek at what’s coming.
What to Know for Classroom of the Elite Season 4
The fourth season of Classroom of the Elite is scheduled to premiere in Japan in April 2026, and Crunchyroll will stream the new episodes as they become available. You can currently watch the first three seasons on Crunchyroll, and it’s a good idea to catch up since there was a significant wait between seasons one and two. Fortunately, the newer seasons are being released more consistently, allowing the anime to continue adapting the ongoing story from the original light novels by Shogo Kinugasa and Shunsaku Tomose.
The new season will feature several new students, including Minako Sato as Tsubasa Nanase, Hiroya Egashira as Kazuomi Hosen, Momoko Seto as Ichika Amasawa, Shinnosuke Tokudome as Takuya Yagami, Iori Saeki as Sakurako Tsubaki, and Shogo Sakata as Riku Utsunomiya. Returning to reprise their roles are Shoya Chiba as Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, Akari Kito as Suzune Horikita, Ayana Taketatsu as Kei Karuizawa, Yurika Kubo as Kikyo Kushida, Masaaki Mizunaka as Kakeru Ryuen, Nao Toyama as Honami Ichinose, and Rina Hidaka as Arisu Sakayanagi.
Why You Should Watch Classroom of the Elite

Despite premiering several years ago, the anime Classroom of the Elite recently returned for a second season after a long wait. This delay led many to believe the show might not continue, contributing to its current status as a fan favorite. Once you start watching, it’s easy to see why the series was so popular when it first came out.
Season 4 of Classroom of the Elite starts the second year for Ayanokoji and his classmates, bringing with it a fresh wave of strategic challenges as they strive to improve their class ranking. Facing competition from a new group of students starting at the bottom, Ayanokoji must protect his class on multiple fronts as a larger conflict begins to unfold.
