The original Tokyo Xtreme Racer was a hugely popular game on the PlayStation 2, so we’re really excited about the upcoming reboot for the PlayStation 5, which is scheduled to release next year.
We first learned about this at Tokyo Game Show in September, and now we can confirm it will be released on February 26th, 2026.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer is a high-speed racing game set in a futuristic, closed-off Tokyo. Players customize cars and compete on city highways to become the fastest racer. The game features realistic cars and detailed courses, challenging rivals, and intense, close-quarters competition.
