Tom Holland is returning as Spider-Man in his fourth movie, tentatively titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This film will essentially restart the character’s story after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Peter Parker made the world forget who he was. Years have passed, and Peter is fully dedicated to being a superhero. However, he now faces a new enemy that attacks his mind as well as his physical body, causing significant changes in his life.
The new film, Brand New Day, is expected to be a big success in theaters, potentially solidifying Tom Holland’s role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a long time. But Holland is also open about discussing what the future holds for his character and who might take over the role after him.
Tom Holland Names His Potential Spider-Man Successor

I just read a fascinating profile of Tom Holland in Esquire, and it really got me thinking about the future of Spider-Man. They actually asked him who he thought could take on the role someday, and he immediately said Owen Cooper! He clearly thinks Owen is incredibly talented and a rising star – I have to say, I agree! It’s cool to see Tom so supportive and confident in the next generation.
Owen Cooper has quickly become a rising star in Hollywood. The British actor recently received an Emmy Award for his role in the popular Netflix series, Adolescence. He followed that success with a part in Emerald Fennell’s new film version of Wuthering Heights, where he played a younger version of Heathcliff, portrayed by Jacob Elordi.
