Creative Assembly started their Total War showcase on Thursday with exciting news: the next downloadable content for Total War: Warhammer 3 will finally introduce the character Nagash.

The Lords of the End Times DLC adds the cataclysmic event that destroyed the Warhammer Fantasy world to the PC strategy game. You can watch the announcement trailer here:

I’ve been watching Nagash closely, and he really stands apart. He doesn’t just lead an undead army, he *controls* it, and it draws power from both the Tomb Kings and Vampire Counts. What’s really impressive is the addition of some seriously powerful new units – I’m talking about Khemric Titans and Morghasts, which add a whole new level to his forces.

Nagash, the world’s most powerful necromancer, still relies on his Mortarchs to carry out his plans. These lieutenants are granted a portion of his immense power and authority to help him achieve his goals.

Creative Assembly says Nagash will be able to command the same powerful Mortarchs as in the original End Times campaign, such as Mannfred von Carstein and Luthor Harkon.

The End Times dramatically alter the game’s world, causing it to break apart and change due to volcanoes and the spread of Warpstone. The video below shows some of these transformations.

Of course, Nagash isn’t the only new Legendary Lord coming – we’re also adding another one that will be available for free.

This news comes as Creative Assembly releases the Immortal Empires mode, letting players who own either Total War: Warhammer or Total War: Warhammer 2 experience the huge combined game map without needing to purchase the latest installment.

As an analyst, I’m really hyped about the latest developments, though we’ll need to be patient for full details. The *Total War: Warhammer* series has certainly had its peaks and valleys, but I’ve been particularly eager to see Nagash and the End Times incorporated into the game – it’s something I’ve anticipated even before the *Immortal Empires* concept was revealed.

The upcoming expansion for Total War: Warhammer 3, titled Lords of the End Times, is expected to release in Summer 2026 for Windows PC. Players will be able to purchase and download it through the Epic Games Store, Steam, and the Microsoft Store.
