Travis Kelce is ready for it.
It? His wedding to Taylor Swift.
After Rory McIlroy described how magical weddings are on the New Heights podcast, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce excitedly said he’s looking forward to having one of his own.
As he said with a smirk on the May 6 episode, “I can’t wait.”
Since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce haven’t shared any wedding details, Travis’s sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, is also staying quiet and won’t reveal anything.
Okay, let’s talk about something that’s been coming up a lot lately. As many of you know, I’m constantly asked about wedding plans – specifically, another wedding! I get it, people are excited for Jason and me, and I know it comes from a good place, but honestly, it’s getting a little much. I’m sharing this because I want to be upfront: nobody is going to get any details from me, or even my mother-in-law! We’re not sharing any wedding news right now, so please, let’s just drop the questions. I promise, if anything is happening, you’ll be among the first to know, but right now, there’s just nothing to share.
One detail that is for sure? Taylor isn’t a bridezilla.
She admitted she never spent much time dreaming about her wedding. “You’d think I always fantasized about it,” she said on U.K.’s Heart Breakfast last October, “but I honestly never pictured what I’d want until I met the right person.”
Of course, the music is a no-brainer, though.

As Travis previously admitted, “I think we’re live music kind of people, you know?”
The concert featured live music and performances. Taylor even joked that her friend Ed Sheeran might spontaneously join her on stage.
Honestly, it’s just so Ed. Everyone says it, you know? Like, if there’s anywhere to perform, he has to be there. It’s not just talent, it’s that he just gets what we, his fans, want, and he genuinely wants to give it to us. He’s just… amazing.
Here’s everything Taylor and Travis have shared about their wedding!

It’s hard to imagine Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce having a wedding on just any day – it would definitely need to be a date with special significance, especially for Taylor.
As someone who really enjoys looking at the patterns in life, I’m a huge fan of numerology – I just love numbers, dates, and what they might mean! I was chatting on the New Heights podcast recently, and it’s funny because the episode dropped 13 days before my fiancé and I announced our engagement. Apparently, we’d actually told our closest friends and family about becoming official three days earlier, but the podcast timing felt very ‘on brand’ for me, given my love for all things numbers! It’s just something I find genuinely fun and fascinating.
With Travis choosing to play another season in the NFL, the team needs to adjust its plans. They have until training camp begins in July to make those adjustments.
While the Kansas City Chiefs tight end certainly could have found time for a wedding in October, which is Taylor’s favorite month, saying it happened “during the bye week” just doesn’t sound as romantic as if it had happened during a more relaxed period.

Taylor Swift is famous for her close friendships with many celebrities, but she revealed in October 2025 that she hadn’t started planning her bachelorette party yet.
She admitted on U.K.’s Heart Breakfast that she never dreamed about her wedding growing up. ‘I honestly never gave any thought to what I’d want until I met the person I wanted to marry,’ she said.
I hadn’t even considered planning a bachelorette party until just now,” she said. “It’s completely new to me.
Plus, she added of her gal pals, “They’re so fun but they’re so busy.”

When Taylor picks out a white dress, it’s going to be one to remember.
Ignoring the cost of her clothes and jewelry, the singer’s style is effortlessly chic and approachable. She favors timeless pieces with a modern edge, often choosing designs from established brands like Oscar de la Renta, Elie Saab, Louis Vuitton, Zuhair Murad, and J. Mendel – designers she’s consistently worn throughout her career.
After the ceremony, where she’ll wear a beautiful gown to say her vows, the tall bride – she’s five feet ten inches – will change into a more comfortable dress so she can dance all night.
We’re excited to see how she incorporates the traditional wedding elements: something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.
Even Vera Wang, a leading expert on wedding dresses, believes Taylor Swift will likely wear a lace gown – and possibly multiple outfits.

Travis is also into fashion, and he’s excited to have fun with his wedding suit – he’s open to anything when it comes to its style.
He proposed while wearing shorts – it was a hot August day in Kansas, after all – and some people online joked that he should wear fancy shorts for the wedding too. But that would be a pretty bold move, and he probably wants the focus to be on his future wife and her dress, not his pants.
Although, if showing off his knees was important to him…
In a 2012 interview with Cosmopolitan, Taylor Swift clarified that she hadn’t chosen a tuxedo for her future husband, explaining she wanted him to feel like his presence truly mattered.

Taylor and Travis both deeply value family, so their parents and brothers are naturally key figures in the wedding plans. Jason Kelce, likely to be Travis’s best man, shares two young daughters, Wyatt and Elliotte, with his wife Kylie. Depending on the wedding date, his younger sister Bennett might also be a flower girl. However, the youngest, baby Finnley, will probably be too young to participate.
It will be interesting to see which of Travis’ teammates are invited, but considering he was a groomsman at Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes’ wedding in 2022, we can be sure at least one player will be there, along with coach Andy Reid. Plus, he’s maintained a close group of friends from his high school days, so his bachelor party – filled with golf and drinks – is going to be a lot of fun.
Taylor Swift’s childhood friend, Abigail Anderson, continues to be a close and important person in her life. And despite changes in her friend group over time, Selena Gomez remains one of Taylor’s closest friends, even sharing little gifts like homemade sourdough bread.
It’s easy to imagine a friend or family member becoming ordained to lead the wedding ceremony, but we don’t expect Flavor Flav to be the one doing it.
And, add it to the list, someone keep an eye on Niall Horan‘s travel plans this spring.

On the September 17th episode of New Heights, Travis shared his preference for live music, saying, “I think we’re just the type of people who enjoy bands over DJs.”
Ugh, we knew it, we’re so on the same page.
Even if the bride doesn’t perform herself, she has plenty of friends who are talented singers and comfortable on stage.
Okay, seriously, I’m just dying to know if Haim is going to perform at Taylor’s wedding! It’s all I can think about! And Taylor was SO funny when she said it would be impossible to keep Ed Sheeran away – like, obviously he has to be there, right? Ugh, I just need to know the setlist!
She explained that Ed Sheeran feels compelled to perform whenever there’s a stage available. During an interview with Hits Radio in October 2025, she said he understands what his audience wants and is eager to deliver it.

Taylor may love Travis so much she’d marry him with paper rings, but that won’t be the case.
On game days, he sometimes wears a sporty, flexible wedding band. But most of the time, he wears the Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond ring Travis chose for his fiancée—created by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.
The ring has a long, central diamond with smaller diamonds on either side. It’s made of yellow gold with a unique, custom engraving, and perfectly complements the $27,300 Cartier watch he used when proposing.

Just how massive will this white veil occasion be?
Taylor Swift shared on The Graham Norton Show in October that she preferred not to deal with the pressure of deciding who to exclude from her guest list. She explained that making cuts would force her to carefully consider and judge her relationships with people.
And, she added, “I’m not gonna do that.”
Comedian Nikki Glaser, a self-proclaimed fan of Taylor Swift, believes a large wedding is on the horizon. Speaking with TopMob News at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, she said, “It has to be—everything has been building to this moment.”
The comedian pointed out that because Taylor Swift is constantly in the spotlight – essentially ‘a bride’ every day – her wedding will probably be kept very private.
Nikki said she knows the person just wants to share the celebration with everyone they care about, as they have a large circle of friends and family. She jokingly predicted the event will be photobombed by a helicopter, somehow managing to disrupt the happy occasion.
As soon as the wedding is over and the couple drives off, Taylor will definitely start sharing photos and videos from her wedding with her fans.
