Okay, so the buzz was right! Saber Interactive is finally bringing Turok: Origins to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC this year. But get this – they just dropped a trailer, and it looks like it’s coming to the new Nintendo Switch 2 too! I checked it out, and the gameplay shows off some seriously massive levels and the crazy creatures you’ll be facing. It looks awesome!
Turok: Origins brings back the classic dinosaur-hunting action with both first-person and third-person gameplay. You can play alone or team up with up to three friends in co-op mode. Explore the dangerous Lost Lands and battle iconic dinosaurs and alien enemies using a variety of weapons, from hatchets and bows to sniper rifles and shotguns.
The core of the gameplay revolves around collecting DNA from defeated enemies, which you can use to unlock new skills and improve your weapons. Though it might feel like a cooperative experience similar to Saber’s recent hit, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, there’s also a story to play through, filled with unexpected surprises.
Keep an eye out for Turok: Origins this fall! Before it releases, we’ll probably get a closer look at the gameplay, more details, and maybe even a free demo – similar to what happened with the game John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando. You can find out more about how the developers are carefully bringing Turok back to life here.
