One of the highlights from the ID@Xbox Showcase is Vapor World: Over The Mind. It will be available in early access on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 in the second quarter of 2026. A new demo will be released this June, giving players a first look.
Okay, so I just learned about this new game from Alive Inc, and it sounds amazing. It’s a 2D action-platformer, but it’s got that tough-but-fair ‘Souls-like’ feel. You play as a kid stuck in a really creepy, dark nightmare, and you have to fight off some seriously scary monsters. Thankfully, you get some awesome weapons to help you take them down!
It sounds simple, but it will be challenging – you’ll need to be resourceful and use all your skills to survive in a dark and harsh world. The game has a distinctive art style, similar to those seen in Bloodborne and Lies of P.
The Early Access version lets you play through the game’s prologue and the first full episode, with a preview of the second. The complete game, including the final two episodes and an epilogue, will offer about 12 hours of gameplay, compared to the 5 hours in Early Access.
The official trailer is showcased below if this one’s caught your eye.
