Mortal Shell 2 has just thrown out a hefty gameplay trailer which shows off all kinds of stuff.
The video features a lot of raw, unedited footage and lasts a little under 12 minutes. It’s definitely worth watching, even if you just skim through it, if you’re a fan of this Souls-inspired game.
Mortal Shell 2 is planned to launch sometime in 2026, and a specific release date should be announced soon. A beta test for the game will be available on PC this summer.
There’s a lot of anticipation for this new game. We thought the original Mortal Shell was a particularly unique take on the Souls-like genre. A big part of that was its interesting gameplay mechanic: you played by possessing the bodies of different warriors, which acted as different character classes.
The new game keeps the same gameplay feature, and the trailer shows three different versions of it. The graphics look really sharp as well.
