
2026 is shaping up to be a big year for Atlus and the incredibly popular Persona series, as they’ll be celebrating 30 years since the franchise began.
In a recent interview with Famitsu magazine, creative producer and chief director Kazuhisa Wada hinted at an exciting year for the Persona series, promising lots of news about the long-awaited remake, Persona 4 Revival.
He said, as translated by Gematsu:
In 2026, the Persona series will celebrate its 30th anniversary. We’re making good progress with our plans and are confident we’ll be able to deliver a fantastic celebration. Everything is moving forward as planned, and we’re committed to making it a success.
We’re planning lots of exciting events worldwide to celebrate Persona’s 30th anniversary. Plus, 2026 is when we expect to share news about upcoming games, including Persona 4 Revival, so stay tuned!
We expect many things to celebrate this milestone, like special products, anime content, and various events. However, the complete reveal of the Persona 4 revival will undoubtedly be the biggest highlight.
