Warning: Spoilers ahead for Wednesday season 2 part 2.
After quite some waiting, the much-anticipated second half of season 2 for “Wednesday” has at last provided some clarity on the enigmatic character played by Lady Gaga.
Since the news broke about Lady Gaga, the pop sensation known for setting dance trends during season 1, potentially joining the show without revealing her character yet, there’s been a flurry of speculation surrounding this development.
We’ve been pondering over several possibilities, such as her portraying Morticia’s mysterious sibling Ophelia Frump or even assuming the role of Wednesday’s latest spiritual mentor. However, what’s truly strange is something quite different from these scenarios.
As per earlier reports, Lady Gaga is portraying the character of a ghost named Rosaline Rotwood, rather than playing her in a living role.
As a captivated film critic, I found myself utterly enthralled by the character of Wednesday, portrayed magnificently by Jenna Ortega. This young lady is wrestling with extraordinary psychic powers, and in a desperate bid for guidance, she turns to her enigmatic grandmother, Hester, masterfully brought to life by Joanna Lumley. The dynamic between these two powerful women promises an intriguing exploration of their shared gift, making this a must-watch movie experience!

The news is that her former teacher, Mr. Rotwood, is laid to rest at the Nevermore Cemetery. If a raven (much like Wednesday) were to read the inscription on his tombstone, it would grant them a brief glimpse into future events.
Without a doubt, on Wednesday, she promptly makes her way to the cemetery, summoning the ghost of Rotwood, who is none other than Lady Gaga.
Temporarily bestowing upon Wednesday the ability to see beyond the ordinary, Rotwood instructs her to cover a candle’s flame with her hand. Lifting her hand could disrupt the Raven’s stare, leading to consequences that would have to be accounted for later.
Little does Wednesday know that Enid (Emma Myers) has come to take her back to the dorm.

On Wednesday, Enid abruptly separates their hands, disrupting the Raven’s focus, leading them both to pass out momentarily. Upon regaining consciousness, they find themselves inhabiting each other’s bodies – much like in the tale of Freaky Friday.
Luckily, following a series of surprising events involving bodily swaps, Wednesday and Enid successfully switch back just in time due to mutual empathy and comprehension. However, the influence of Rotwood on their lives lingers long after this extraordinary incident.
Simultaneously, Lady Gaga launched a fresh track called “The Dead Dance” as a tribute for her part in Wednesday’s second season. The music video was skillfully directed by Tim Burton.
Regarding Wednesday’s upcoming events, while Part 2 of Season 2 might have just been released, not all loose ends have been resolved yet. Don’t fret though, as the series has been given the green light for a third season. So keep watching, as the story continues to unfold!
