Good news for fans of Wednesday: Season 3 is expected to arrive much sooner than Season 2 did. Along with previously announced stars like Winona Ryder and Eva Green, three new actors have joined the cast, including a well-known face from Game of Thrones.
I was thrilled to hear Netflix announce some new faces for Wednesday season 3! Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, and James Lance are all joining the cast. As a huge Game of Thrones fan, I’m especially excited to see Lena Headey – Cersei Lannister herself! – stepping into the world of Wednesday. We don’t know what roles they’ll be playing yet, but I can’t wait to see how she interacts with the existing characters. It’s going to be a fun season!
To keep things fresh, the third season of Wednesday will introduce some new cast members. Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, and James Lance will all appear as guest stars.

Wednesday Season 3 Is Bringing Extra Star Power

As previously announced, Wednesday is gaining some impressive new cast members for its third season. Joining the show are Lena Headey, known for her roles in Game of Thrones and other projects like Masters of the Universe: Revolution, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, along with Andrew McCarthy, famous from Orange is the New Black and The Blacklist, and James Lance, who starred in Marie Antoinette and Bronson.
The recent announcement that Winona Ryder will return for season 3 is significant because she starred in Tim Burton’s original Beetlejuice. Fans were thrilled to see her reprise the role in the new Beetlejuice Beetlejuice film, which also introduced Jenna Ortega to the Beetlejuice universe. Considering Ortega previously collaborated with Burton on Wednesday, this further strengthens the connections between those projects and Burton’s wider body of work.
Season 3 will also feature stars like Johnny Green (known for Dark Shadows and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children), Susan Sarandon (The Nightmare Before Christmas), Noah Taylor (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Kennedy Moyer (Roofman), and Oscar Morgan, who also appeared in the Game of Thrones universe (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms).
Season 3 of Wednesday is currently being filmed, meaning it might be available to watch later this year. You can stream the first two seasons of Wednesday on Netflix right now.
