Sony’s released a somewhat soppy trailer to celebrate 15 years of PS Plus.
The initial subscription for this platform was introduced on PlayStation 3. Since then, it has undergone several transformations.
The service currently operates in three distinct levels. The entry-level, called PS Plus Essential, provides access to basic online gameplay and monthly free games. Meanwhile, the intermediate level, known as PS Plus Extra, grants access to a selection of on-demand PS5 and PS4 games. Lastly, the top-tier service, named PS Plus Premium, includes cloud streaming options and retro games in addition to the benefits from the lower tiers.
While the trailer mostly serves as a recap, it ends with a pledge: “We’re just getting started.”

As a passionate gamer, I’m always on the lookout for more benefits from my PlayStation Plus subscription, and it seems like the team behind it feels the same! They’ve made it clear in numerous chats that they’re constantly striving to enhance the worth of PS Plus and attract new gamers. Since this service plays a significant role in their earnings, it’s crucial for them to keep enriching it with fresh features and rewards.
In what direction do you envision the service progressing in the upcoming times? Could you share some desired features or enhancements you’d like to see implemented? Also, could you explain how the platform owner might justify the somewhat high subscription cost with these improvements?
