ABCDEFG… Kourtney Kardashianhad to go elsewhere.
Rather than go to the 2026 Met Gala with her family – Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and Kris Jenner – Kourtney Kardashian decided to spend the evening on a date with her husband, Travis Barker, in Los Angeles.
On May 4th, a Kardashian shared a picture on Instagram of their finished dinner plates, noting they were from Crossroads Kitchen and calling it a “husband date.”
Instead of attending the Met Gala, she shared that she and Travis opted to go to the Netflix is a Joke Festival. They were spotted at a show featuring comedian Shane Gillis at the Hollywood Bowl, one of several events happening during the festival’s six-day run.
Even though Kourtney Kardashian didn’t attend, the Met Gala was still a major event for the Kardashian-Jenner family. Those who did attend celebrated famous works of art with their outfits, which were inspired by the theme ‘Fashion is Art’.
Okay, so Kim… she absolutely slayed. She showed up in this incredible, sculpted piece – it was like, a burnt orange shell, so futuristic, but also… a little dangerous? And the nipples were pointed, seriously iconic. Allen Jones designed it, and it totally reminded me of his Body Armour sculpture – you know, the one Kate Moss modeled years ago? It was like Kim was bringing that whole vibe back, and honestly, the nude heels were the perfect touch. I’ve been obsessed ever since!
Kylie and Kendall Jenner drew inspiration from classic Greek statues for their outfits. Kylie wore a Schiaparelli dress with a nude-colored corset that created an illusion, while Kendall opted for an elegantly draped, skin-toned gown designed by GapStudio by Zac Posen.
And of course, Kris Jenner, the famous momager, stunned in a copper and white kimono-style outfit by Dolce & Gabbana.
Although she didn’t attend the 2026 Met Gala, Kourtney Kardashian shared a throwback to her first and only Met Gala appearance with Blink-182’s Travis Barker in an Instagram post on May 4th.
Kourtney, who has four children – 2-year-old Rocky and 15-year-old Mason, 12-year-old Penelope, and 10-year-old Reign (from her previous relationship with Scott Disick) – recently shared photos of what she and Travis wore to an after-party on May 2, 2022. She wore a black and white houndstooth mini dress, while Travis opted for a fringed outfit.
