What’s Coming to Netflix, HBO Max, and Other Streaming Services This Weekend (October 17th)

It’s the second half of October, and another great fall weekend is here, with lots of new movies and TV shows to enjoy. All the major streaming services are adding new content this weekend, including a thrilling revenge movie on Prime Video, a returning popular series on Netflix, and a new Marvel adventure for kids.

Netflix got a jumpstart on the weekend on Thursday with some new releases, most notably the return of the popular series *The Diplomat*, with all episodes of its third season now available.

This Friday, Disney+ will release a special Marvel crossover episode featuring characters from *Spidey and His Amazing Friends* and *Iron Man and His Awesome Friends*, teaming them up with several popular Avengers. Then, on Saturday, Prime Video will add the new sci-fi horror film *Companion*, which is already generating a lot of buzz as one of the most exciting movies coming out in 2025.

Thursday, October 16th
