Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse are hitting the road again for a festive Christmas fishing adventure.
Last year, they went to southwestern France to fish in the Lot River, but this time they’re staying in the UK and traveling south.
This Christmas Eve, the comedy pair travel to Devon and Cornwall, encountering some well-known people during their trip.

As a huge fan of Mortimer & Whitehouse, I’m thrilled to share that their Christmas special, ‘Gone Christmas Fishing,’ is coming to BBC Two and iPlayer on Wednesday, December 24th at 9pm. Seriously, mark your calendars – it’s going to be a perfect way to spend Christmas Eve!
Okay, so this year’s Christmas special? It’s me, Bob Mortimer, Paul Whitehouse, and naturally, Ted the dog, all heading down to the Southwest of England for some festive fun. It’s gonna be a proper treat, I reckon!
During their journey, the group will talk to beloved personality Dawn French about what Christmas means to her and her plans for the holiday. They’ll also be surprised by a visit from their friend, Dr. Anand Patel.
Where is Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Christmas Fishing 2025 filmed?
As mentioned above, the duo are headed to Devon and Cornwall.
They’re traveling to the south using an old-fashioned steam train. Once they arrive, they’ll fish in the beautiful Lyd and Camel rivers in Devon, and then venture out to sea from Cornwall on a classic fishing boat.
