What happened in One Piece Chapter 1171?

In the last chapter, “Ragnir,” Gaban and Jarul were shocked to learn that Loki ate Elbaph’s “Treasure” fruit—the one used to kill Harald. Jarul pointed out that things could have been even worse if Loki hadn’t intervened.

Shanks recalls his previous talks with Harald, who dreamed of joining the God’s Knights and ushering in a new era for Elbaph. Fueled by anger towards Imu and the World Nobles, Shanks clenches his fist, focusing on the mark Imu branded on his arm. Gaban intervenes, reassuring Shanks that he will have a chance to get his revenge.

Loki is deeply saddened, staying with Harald’s body. At the same time, in Mary Geoise, Imu is disturbed to learn of Harald’s death during a meeting with the Five Elders. Imu shares that someone from Elbaph was responsible and questions what strange abilities that island holds. When Mars volunteers to investigate, Imu declines, fearing it would make things worse.

Almost immediately, a creature named Draugr shows up in the Underworld, and Loki gets ready to battle it. At a crucial moment, Loki uses a special ability called “Niflheim” to instantly freeze the Draugr, leaving Luffy amazed by his incredible power.
