As The Game Awards 2025 approach, Wholesome Games recently shared a look at several charming indie games that will be featured during their Wholesome Snack 2025 broadcast.
As an analyst, I’m anticipating a showcase with over 20 games, and I expect a good number of them will be perfect for portable gaming on devices like the Steam Deck, Xbox Ally X, and Legion Go 2 – basically, anything in that handheld PC space.
As soon as the show begins, I’ll share a complete list of all the games announced, including their release dates and what systems they’ll be on – like PC, Xbox, and others. I’ll also let you know if a game is confirmed to work well on the Steam Deck.
I think it’s a good idea to start adding games you’re interested in to your wishlist, or even try out any demos that are available. That way, you can keep track of them and get a feel for whether you’ll really enjoy them.

Every Wholesome Snack 2025 game and its platforms
The Wholesome Snack 2025 presentation is now live! Below is a list of all the games featured, including what platforms they’ll be on and when they’re expected to release, shown in the order they were presented.
Thrifty Business
- Coming to Steam. Release date TBA.
Wholesome Snack 2025 kicked off their presentation with the first look at *Thrifty Business*, a retro shop simulator set in the 90s. Players will hunt for vintage gadgets, design their store layouts, and build relationships with quirky customers.
Lost and Found Co.
- Coming to Steam on February 11, 2026. A demo is available at Steam.
You play as Ducky, an intern at Goddess Mei’s company, where you help people recover lost items. Your job takes you to all sorts of places, including magical ones! You’ll even meet a little dragon who needs your help to get its powers back. As you play, you can also decorate your office and personalize it to your liking.
B-e-e-t-l-e: be right back!
- Coming to Steam, itch.io, and more. Release date TBA.
The Wholesome Snack showcase featured a lot of interesting games, but I was particularly drawn to B-e-e-t-l-e: be right back!. Its charming pixel art, clever puzzles, and unique gameplay that revolves around typing really stood out to me.
In this charming game, you play as either a crocodile or an alligator and set off to find your missing beetle friend. You’ll solve puzzles, meet other animals, and interact with the world around you by typing at a comfortable speed – making it a truly relaxing experience.
Wylde Society
- Coming to Steam. Release date TBA.
We then had the chance to preview Wylde Societ, a fresh life simulation game set in a historical period and filled with magical elements. It’s from the same developers who created the popular game, Wylde Flowers.
The trailer for Wholesome Snack showed how the main character, Vivian, uses magic to renovate and decorate her boarding house. She can also host tea parties, conduct seances, and participate in other activities popular in the early 1900s.
Wylde Flowers
- Now on Steam (Steam Deck verified), Xbox on PC, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, iOS/App Store/Apple Arcade.
I’ve been following Wylde Flowers since it first came out in 2022 on platforms like Steam, Nintendo Switch, and mobile. It’s exciting to see that it’s now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and PlayStation 5!
In this game, you play as Tara, a witch who gets to build her dream life on a cozy cottage farm. You’ll care for animals, grow a garden, and make your home exactly how you want it. Plus, you’ll meet and befriend a delightful cast of characters, including the other witches in Tara’s coven, all of whom are fully voiced!
Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth
- Coming to Steam. Release date TBA.
As a researcher, I’ve been exploring Hyper Games’ latest title, a sequel to their 2024 release, *Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley*. It’s a charming point-and-click adventure where you play as Moomintroll. The game begins with Moomintroll waking up from hibernation to an empty Moominvalley. Driven by a need for companionship and to bring spring back, he embarks on a journey, and along the way, discovers opportunities to help others too.
I was so happy to hear on the Wholesome Snack show that this game is a celebration of 80 years of Tove Jansson’s wonderful Moomin characters! It’s amazing to think about how long these charming characters have brought joy to people.
Verdant
- Coming to Steam. Release date TBA.
Get ready for the debut of Verdant! This new adventure game from Tiny Roar and Megabit Publishing is set in a beautifully overgrown, post-apocalyptic Germany of the 1980s. You’ll play as a young rider on a motorcycle, exploring the ruins and uncovering the secrets of what happened to the land – and discovering your own place in a story about growing up.
Spirit Crossing
- Coming to Steam sometime in 2026. Already on Google Play/Android, iOS/App Store/Apple Arcade, Netflix Games.
As an analyst, I’ve been following the development of Netflix Games’ *Spirit Crossing*, which initially launched into open Alpha on mobile earlier this year. I recently learned during the Wholesome Snack broadcast that they’re also bringing it to Steam, which is great news. From what I’ve seen, it’s a really charming co-op life sim where you can team up with friends to build up a village, customize your character, go fishing, and even explore the world with a glider. The game seems to focus on building relationships with memorable characters and uncovering the mysteries of the spirits and ruins within the world.
Travel Pack!
- Coming to Steam and consoles. Release date TBA.
Blackstaff Games’ charming new game lets you discover a world built from board game components like tiles and miniatures. As you journey through it, you’ll meet different characters and learn about their unique perspectives – how they approach life and ‘play the game.’ Expect some gentle puzzles along the way to make things even more enjoyable.
Mirage: Miracle Quest
- Coming to Steam. Release date TBA. A demo is now available at Steam.
Despite what you might think from the pictures, this game is a turn-based card game with RPG elements. You play as a young cat girl who’s also an exorcist, traveling through a gorgeous but haunted world to help lost spirits find peace.
We also learned that a demo is now available at Steam.
Cozy Caravan
- Coming out of Early Access to full release on Steam (Steam Deck Verified). Also coming to Nintendo Switch, iOS/App Store/Apple Arcade on January 8, 2026.
Cozy Caravan is officially launching on January 8, 2026, after being available in Early Access on Steam! It’s a charming single-player game where you restore an old caravan and travel between towns, setting up shop and trading goods. You’ll gather supplies, craft items through fun minigames, and build relationships with the people you meet. The game also has a delightful stop-motion animation style, making this animal-focused adventure even more appealing.
Fishbowl
- Coming to Steam (Steam Deck verified) and PlayStation 5 in April 2026. You can play the demo at Steam right now.
I recently discovered this really cool game called Fishbowl! It’s a visual novel, but it’s super interactive and feels really laid-back. What’s amazing is it’s made by just two people at imissmyfriends.studio – that’s incredible! And Wholesome Game Presents is publishing it, which gives you a good idea of the vibe – it’s a really heartwarming experience.
This game follows a young woman as she copes with the loss of her grandmother. Players will help her sort through her grandmother’s belongings by solving puzzles, while also balancing everyday life – working from home, managing household chores, connecting with others through video calls, and remembering to prioritize self-care.
Find Your Words
- Coming to Steam (Steam Deck Verified). Release date TBA.
Wholesome Snack recently revealed the first trailer for *Find Your Words*, a new game from Capybara Games. The game lets you experience summer camp, where you can make friends and enjoy activities like playing on the beach and exploring the forest.
Arcane Eats
- Coming to Steam sometime in 2026. A demo is available right now.
Wonderbelly Games, working with publisher Skystone Games, has created a unique deckbuilding roguelike game centered around cooking.
As an analyst, I’ve been following Arcane Eats, and it’s a really interesting concept. You’re essentially running a kitchen for fantasy creatures, which sounds fun, but the core gameplay revolves around carefully managing your energy and how long it takes to cook all these unique ingredients. It’s not just about cooking, though – you also need to keep your kitchen staff happy and, of course, your customers satisfied! I also just learned that a new demo is available on Steam, so anyone interested can give it a try.
CatchMaker
- Coming to Steam (Steam Deck verified). Release date TBA.
This game is super cute! You explore an island and collect bugs, but there’s more to it than just collecting – you can even pair up the bugs you find and enjoy fun little mini-games too.
PANdemonium: Merge!

- Coming to Steam and itch.io. Release date TBA.
As an analyst, I’ve been looking at this game, and it’s really engaging. You basically use a frying pan and some clever physics to cook up different dishes. It’s not just about the cooking though – you’re preparing food for adorable forest creatures, like a little raccoon who really needs cheering up! You can play it casually to chill out, or push yourself to master the cooking challenges. It’s a surprisingly satisfying experience.
Zitifono

- Coming to Steam. Release date TBA. A new Demo is available now at Steam.
Loekni is a lovely game where you captain a boat and journey through a stunning archipelago. You’ll discover hidden secrets, find valuable treasures, meet interesting characters, and experience much more along the way.
We also learned that there’s now a brand new Zitifono demo for you to check out at Steam.
Coffee Talk Tokyo

- Coming to Steam (Steam Deck verified), Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Releases March 5, 2026.
The creators of the 2020 pixel-art game are releasing a sequel, and this time it’s set in Tokyo. It’s a laid-back game where you make and serve drinks while building relationships with your customers.
The trailer for Wholesome Snack 2025 introduced us to Erika, a 9-year-old who’s eager to share some news because her mom is currently occupied with other conversations.
Mandrake

- Coming to Steam (Steam Deck verified) and consoles (TBD). Release date TBA.
As an analyst, I’ve been exploring Mandrake, and it’s a really interesting concept. You play as a magical caretaker, basically using your abilities to help plants and landscapes flourish. It’s all about shaping the world around you, tending to it as you like. However, there’s a catch – you absolutely need to be indoors when night falls. That’s when the Mara appear, and they’re definitely something you want to avoid!
We recently saw a preview of Yolf at the Wholesome Snack showcase. He’s a character similar to Tom Nook from Animal Crossing, and he tells you that your family owes him a debt. The game then tasks you with building a successful farm to repay him.
The game will be released on Steam, and the developer is planning to bring it to consoles as well, though they’ll announce which consoles later on.
ReStory

- Coming to Steam sometime in 2026. A demo is now available.
You run a repair shop in Tokyo during the mid-2000s, fixing retro tech like old video game consoles (including Atari!), phones, and cameras. How you manage your business and help customers will shape the story.
We also learned that a demo dropped during the Wholesome Snack showcase.
D-topia

- Coming to Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 sometime in 2026.
We recently got a first glimpse of D-topia, the new puzzle game from Marumittu Games and Annapurna Interactive.
In a future where artificial intelligence aims to keep everyone content and comfortable, occasional issues arise. As a Facilitator, you’ll solve puzzles to address these problems, and your decisions will have consequences for those around you.
Bits & Bops

- Coming to Steam (Steam Deck verified) on December 9, 2025.
Bits & Bops, an upcoming game, offers a fresh take on rhythm-based minigames. Developed by Tempo Lab Games, it features charming hand-drawn visuals and adorable characters, creating a playful and enjoyable experience.
We also learned that this game launched today during the broadcast, so you can get it now!
And that’s a wrap, a Wholesome Snack wrap
We previewed 22 charming indie games at Wholesome Snack 2025, most of which are headed to PC, with a few also planned for Xbox.
Several trailers highlighted that these games will work on the Steam Deck, suggesting they’ll likely be compatible with other handheld gaming PCs such as the Xbox Ally X and Legion Go 2.
If you’re interested in any of these games, add them to your wishlist or try out a demo if there is one.
I’d love to know what you thought of the Wholesome Snack 2025 broadcast! Let me know in the comments which games you’re most excited about and what you’ll be playing them on.
