Why Benny Blanco Is “Not Allowed” to Discuss Selena Gomez Sex Life

Whether or not Selena Gomez can keep her hands to herself is not up for discussion.  

Her husband, Benny Blanco, has said he’s not allowed to discuss their private life or the singer’s sex life publicly.

When Lil Dicky, his cohost, asked about time he spent alone with Selena on the May 12th episode of his podcast, Friends Keep Secrets, Benny responded, “I’m not allowed to talk about that publicly.”

And to be clear, the music producer could, but why would he want to? 

Benny, 38, quickly dismissed rumors that Selena had forced him to sign a confidentiality agreement to keep their relationship private. He confirmed he wasn’t legally prevented from sharing details about it.

You know, I just naturally tend to be polite and considerate – it’s just part of who I am. I guess you could say I’m a gentleman, though I don’t really think about it in those terms. It’s simply how I was raised, I suppose.

Benny, who married a former Disney Channel star in September 2025, often talks about Selena. He recently shared some surprising details about what she likes to eat.

Benny recently told Gwyneth Paltrow, during a private recording for her Goop podcast, that Selena’s eating habits are similar to a five-year-old’s – she mostly chooses unhealthy foods, according to the Daily Mail.

He added, “This morning I walked in and she was eating Jack in the Box at 6:45 in the morning.”

Even though Benny admitted Selena, age 33, generally avoids fruits and vegetables, he did mention one healthy food she actually likes.

Okay, let me tell you, I’ve seen a lot of eating habits, and this is a funny one! Benny was just sharing that Gwenyth Paltrow’s Goop is a huge hit with his dog, Gwen. She devours it! But his other dog, Selena, is a bit more discerning. She’s not interested in the greens themselves, just all the yummy toppings – the cheese, the croutons, you name it. It’s a good reminder that even our pets have their preferences, and sometimes it’s all about what’s on the healthy stuff, not the healthy stuff itself!

But what Benny is most vocal about is how much he loves the “Who Says” singer.

He described being completely devoted to her, and feeling she felt the same way about him. He said they have a completely selfless connection, supporting each other’s success and constantly thinking about how to improve the other person’s life. He told Interview magazine he often wakes up wondering how he can make her day better, knowing she feels the same.

And Selena’s relationship with Benny is certainly no same old love she’s experienced before.

In a September 2024 interview with Vanity Fair, she shared that she’d never experienced love like this before. She described him as a source of pure joy and her closest confidant, someone she could tell anything to.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco started dating in July 2023, shortly after Gomez’s birthday, according to Blanco in a May 2024 interview on the Howard Stern Show.

Rumors about their relationship started circulating in late 2023, and Selena confirmed them in December. She publicly shared on Instagram that Benny was “my absolute everything.”

She shared how he completely changed her life for the better, saying he remains the best partner she’s ever had.
