Charles Barkley is baring it all—one hot fruit of the loom at a time. 

The sports analyst confessed that during his peak basketball years, he burned all of his underwear, and he stands by that choice.

Charles, 62, recently shared on the Manningcast podcast that he stopped wearing underwear about 30 years ago – and even burned all his pairs! He admits he’s been going without underwear ever since. Hosts Peyton and Eli Manning were surprised by this confession and decided to gift the retired basketball player, who played for 16 seasons before retiring in 2000, a special pair of underwear featuring their faces on the back.

Eli, 44, jokingly held up a pair of white briefs and apologized, saying he’d meant to mail them. “I didn’t realize you had a habit of wearing underwear before getting custom pairs made,” he said. “But can I still send you these?”

And standing firm by his commando ritual, Charles joked that he’ll accept the gift in another way.

“Absolutely! I’m going to frame that and hang it up,” he said. “I need both of you to sign it, and I promise to display it where everyone can see it.”

Charles Barkley hasn’t always hidden the fact that he doesn’t wear underwear. Back in October 2018, he publicly discussed going without undergarments after his friend and fellow NBA great, Shaquille O’Neal, jokingly pointed it out while they were on television.

When asked about the criticism he received, Charles explained on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that he decided to stop wearing underwear about ten years ago. He joked that he realized underwear – or “drawers,” as they’re called in the South – just took up too much space, and he’s been feeling great ever since.

He actually announced his retirement from TNT Sports last July, but then, just a month later, he decided he wasn’t quite ready to hang up his analyst hat after all!
