Why Demi Moore Thinks Tom Cruise Was “Embarrassed” by Her Pregnancy

Demi Moore knows that being a mom in Hollywood can be risky business.

The actress recalled preparing for the 1992 film A Few Good Men, remembering rehearsals with Tom Cruise. She noted that, being eight months pregnant at the time, the rehearsals weren’t very comfortable for him.

Demi Moore remembered an awkward moment involving Tom at an event on October 25th, as reported by People magazine during a Q&A at the New Yorker Festival. She said she wasn’t bothered by it, as she was moving around, but she could tell he felt embarrassed, especially considering it involved her daughter, Scout Willis, 34, and her now-ex-husband, Bruce Willis.

Demi Moore, who shares daughters Rumer, 37, and Tallulah, 31, with Bruce Willis, suggested that her ex-husband might have struggled with her working while raising their children, as there weren’t many visible working mothers at the time. However, Demi was committed to balancing her career with motherhood.

She said it just didn’t seem logical to her. She questioned why it couldn’t be done, asking why she couldn’t have both things she wanted. But she also admitted this led to a lot of self-imposed pressure to actually demonstrate that it was possible.

TopMob News has reached out to Tom’s reps for comment and has not yet heard back.

Demi challenged herself physically and emotionally while preparing for her role in the Aaron Sorkin-directed film, where she plays a Navy lawyer investigating a Marine’s murder.

Looking back, I really question my choices then,” the St. Elmo’s Fire actor admitted. “I wonder what I was trying to accomplish. It wasn’t as accepted back then to breastfeed and then immediately jump into work and rehearse a scene, like it is more today.

Even though she was pregnant, Demi was fully committed to getting prepared for filming.

Okay, so I was completely preparing for motherhood, like, years before! I was obsessed with being in peak physical condition, even started working out before she was even conceived. It was crazy! And get this – the day my water broke, I was hiking for two and a half hours! Seriously! Then, just days before, I did a 24-mile bike ride and was out dancing at a reggae club. I think all that activity is why she decided to make her grand entrance two and a half weeks early – she just couldn’t handle my energy!

Over time, Demi’s perspective on her place in Hollywood changed. When she accepted her first Golden Globe award for The Substance earlier this year, she spoke about the challenges women face in the film industry.

Demi shared a powerful message: when we feel inadequate – not smart enough, attractive enough, or successful enough – she recalled someone telling her, ‘You’ll never be ‘enough’ for everyone, but you can still recognize your own worth by stopping the comparison game.’

In June 2024, athlete Jason Kelce jokingly responded to a fan’s comment on social media, tweeting, “What kind of weirdo washes their feet…?” The fan had observed that Kelce appeared to not wash his legs or feet.

The retired Philadelphia Eagles player later doubled down on his comments.

On his podcast, New Heights with his brother Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes joked, ‘What kind of person washes your feet?’ He then added, ‘I’ll clean them if I see dirt, though.’

More than ten years after actor Kristen Stewart shared a story about witnessing a clown’s death in a car accident at the circus when he was a child, he confessed that the story was made up.

Robert remembered telling The New York Times Style Magazine in December 2024 that he reacted with complete surprise. He said he immediately asked, ‘What on earth is going on? Are you possessed?’

As for what he said during the 2011 Today interview promoting his film Water for Elephants?

He explained that one of the clowns had died in an accident. Their small car, part of the act, unexpectedly exploded, causing everyone to panic and run for safety. It was a truly frightening experience.

Grandma knows best.

In an October 2022 episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian shared a personal story about how her grandmother, Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell, unexpectedly played a role in a private moment with her then-boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

Kim Kardashian shared a story with MJ, Kris Jenner, and Khloe Kardashian about a weekend at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She said she and Pete Davidson were chatting by the fireplace for hours when she remembered something her grandmother told her: ‘You truly live life when you have sex in front of a fireplace.’ Inspired by this, they decided to act on it as a tribute to Kris.

Grandma’s reaction? A nod of approval.

Kim found it unsettling to think about her grandmother before being intimate, and MJ responded by saying she understood, but she used to be younger too.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have a very close family—including their children, 8-year-old Wyatt and 6-year-old Dimitri—and their love for each other is unconditional.

So much so, that the Black Swan actress revealed they keep an open-door policy at home.

She told TopMob News in September 2022 that this also extends to the bathroom. She explained it’s become normal for her family and children to openly discuss and accept natural bodily functions.

Mila explained that she finally gave in after her family repeatedly asked to come inside. She said she just decided to leave the door open rather than continue refusing them.

Pre-kids, she might not have imagined she’d flush that particular boundary away.

She said she never imagined she’d be comfortable enough to use the restroom with the door open.

Ghouls just want to have fun.

During an October 2022 episode of The View, while discussing a woman who claimed her home was haunted by “sexual ghosts,” Sara Haines posed a surprising question to her co-hosts: Could someone actually get pregnant from a sexual encounter with a ghost?

Luckily, Joy Behar, her co-host, had a playful response: “I’ve had encounters with a few ghosts and never gotten pregnant.”

“I’m going to leave that comment as is,” Whoopi Goldberg responded. “I’m not sure everyone heard what Joy said, but I’m choosing not to address it further.”

Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb are very close friends, but Hoda recently learned something surprising about her “Today” co-host. While preparing for an episode of “Today with Hoda and Jenna,” Hoda found out that Jenna always goes without underwear.

Hoda Kotb recalled a funny moment from a November 2022 episode of Today with Hoda and Jenna. She explained that they both needed to quickly change outfits and had to go back to the dressing room. While there, Hoda realized Jenna Bush Hager doesn’t wear underwear.

Jenna’s rationale? Well, no underwear might just be more convenient to her.

She explained that the style creates a more flattering shape and also makes packing easier, adding that there are many benefits to choosing it.

Looks like someone hasn’t been keeping up.

Britney Spears related to a popular line from Keke Palmer – “he could be walking down the street, I wouldn’t know a thing” – and confessed she wasn’t familiar with Pete Davidson or Scott Disick.

Britney shared a funny video from March featuring Pete Davidson—who was dating Kim Kardashian at the time—and Kourtney Kardashian’s ex, Scott Disick, having a night out. She said the video had her laughing a lot.

Britney apologized for sharing the post, explaining she didn’t know the people in the video but found it hilarious. She has since removed the original post.

Before Chris Evans became famous as Captain America and was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2022, Jana Kramer dated him and thought he was a really cute heartthrob.

The singer shared on her podcast, Whine Down with Jana Kramer, that this happened over ten years ago. She doesn’t remember exactly how many dates they went on, but she clearly remembers the last time they saw each other.

Jana, who was around 26 at the time, said Chris asked her to come over when he had some friends visiting from Boston.

Jana recalled that the last thing she remembered was her partner going to the bathroom right after she’d eaten asparagus, which sometimes changes the smell of urine. They didn’t spend the night together. He stayed up late with friends, and the next morning, Jana left his house feeling embarrassed – what she jokingly called the ‘asparagus walk of shame’.

She added, “I never heard from him again.”

Not all of these confessions are amusing.

In December, television writer Elisabeth Finch confessed that she had fabricated a story about having a rare form of bone cancer. She originally shared this false diagnosis with ELLE magazine eight years prior, and it even became the basis for a plotline on the TV show Grey’s Anatomy.

Elisabeth recently confessed to telling a lie at age 34 that she deeply regrets. She described it as a mistake that grew over time and became a heavy burden. In an interview with The Ankler on December 7th, she clarified that she has never been diagnosed with cancer.

Finch, who was temporarily removed from his job on the ABC medical show before ultimately quitting, admitted, “I messed up. It was wrong, unacceptable, and a mistake in every way.”

Beauty is pain, but Kim Kardashian might be able to stomach it.

The reality star told The New York Times she’d consider almost any procedure to look younger.

She admitted in June that she’d even consider something extreme – like eating something disgusting daily – if it meant she could look younger. She emphasized she was serious, saying, ‘I just might!’

Kim told Allure in July 2022 that she was mostly kidding when she made the comment, but admitted it wasn’t a completely awful idea.

Kim admitted, after some thought, that she’d likely do almost anything for youth, even something disgusting. ‘If someone promised me eating a bowl of poop daily would make me look younger, I’d probably do it,’ she said.

She wasn’t very hungry. “Maybe just a bite,” she said. “I definitely couldn’t eat a whole bowl.”

Jelly Roll could’ve used some saving from himself.

During an April 2025 interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the singer of “Save Me” shared a particularly embarrassing story, and he didn’t shy away from the details.

“I pooped myself one time,” he admitted. “I did, I’m sorry.”

To be honest, Jelly Roll (whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord) didn’t intend to cause such serious harm.

He firmly believed it was just a misunderstanding. “I really apologize,” he said. “I saw the audience change from supportive to completely against me.”
