Jennifer Aniston is open about her fertility journey.
Following her previous discussion about her difficulties with getting pregnant, the actress from *The Morning Show* explained her reasons for not choosing adoption.
Jennifer explained on the October 14th episode of the *Armchair Expert* podcast that while she understands people suggest adoption, she really wants to have a child biologically. She admitted it might be selfish, but having a child with her own DNA is what she’s always desired.
Jennifer says she’s come to terms with not having children, but ultimately, it was her body that prevented her from becoming a mother.
“Eventually, it’s just beyond my ability to influence things,” the 56-year-old explained. “I truly can’t do anything to change it.”
She explained that it simply hadn’t been foreseen, no matter what the original intention was. She described it as a very emotional experience, particularly when they announced the decision, as there was a strange pause right at that moment.
Jennifer has openly shared her personal experiences with IVF, especially as there was a lot of public interest in whether she planned to have children.
In a November 2022 interview with *Allure*, she revealed she had been trying to conceive and described the process as difficult.
Jennifer, who is currently dating Jim Curtis, has also spoken out against the idea that she prioritized her career over having children after her divorce from Brad Pitt in 2005.
Jennifer explained to *Harper’s Bazaar U.K.* that people weren’t aware of her twenty-year journey to start a family, or the personal struggles she faced. She prefers to keep her medical history private, stating, “That’s not anybody’s business.”
It really gets to me when I hear people saying I won’t have a baby or a family, labeling me as selfish or saying I work too much. I try to ignore it, but honestly, it hurts. I’m just a person, and like everyone else, I have feelings. It’s hard to constantly hear those things about your life.

They felt it was a good fit and enabled them to be genuine and true to themselves while filming the show.
Before she and NFL player Christian McCaffrey announced they were expecting a child, the former Miss Universe had spoken about how her endometriosis might make it difficult to get pregnant.
Olivia Culpo has spoken about her concerns regarding having children. In a November 2022 episode of her show, *The Culpo Sisters*, she explained that, after being diagnosed with a medical condition in 2020 and undergoing surgery, she worries it may be difficult for her to get pregnant.
Endometriosis can impact fertility in several ways. It can cause tissue to grow near or on the ovaries, potentially lower egg quality, and even cause scarring in the fallopian tubes, she explained.
Caelynn, known from Bachelor Nation, recently opened up about the challenges she and her husband, Dean Bell, have faced trying to have a baby since getting married in 2023.
In a YouTube video from March 2025, Caelynn shared that she was taking a more relaxed approach. ‘It’s difficult,’ she said, ‘but I’m not putting as much pressure on myself as I did when I first started trying.’
Even though it’s been a difficult time emotionally, Caelynn is staying optimistic while she and her husband undergo medical tests to understand what’s happening with their health.

Michelle Yeoh, known for her role in *Everything Everywhere All At Once*, revealed she faced difficulties getting pregnant while married to her first husband, Dickson Poon. She married Jean Todt in 2023 after being engaged for 19 years.
Michelle recently shared in a podcast interview that she always dreamed of having children. She explained that she tried fertility treatments to help make that happen, but found the monthly process incredibly difficult and emotionally draining, often feeling like a failure each time.
I’ve really taken to heart what she said. It’s about realizing there’s a point where you have to stop beating yourself up. Sometimes, your body just doesn’t work the way it’s ‘supposed’ to, and that’s okay. It’s incredibly freeing to finally accept that and just move forward, letting go of the guilt and self-blame.
The rapper, who has a son named Wilde with her husband Maximillion Cooper, previously revealed she suffered a devastating miscarriage caused by an ectopic pregnancy while working on her TV show, *Eve*.
In her memoir, *Who’s That Girl?*, Eve revealed that she discovered she was pregnant in 2006. She needed immediate surgery, which meant taking a two-week break from filming. Looking back, she’s not sure why she told everyone on set she had appendicitis – perhaps, she admits, she was trying to deceive herself about the situation.
She explained that if she lost her baby, she doubted two weeks would be enough time to recover emotionally. As it turned out, even that short period wasn’t quite enough for her body to heal physically, as she had to return to work on set very quickly. She’d lost a lot of weight from the surgery and was feeling extremely weak.
Selling Sunset star Maya Vander has openly discussed the challenges she and her husband, Romain Bonnet, faced while trying to have a baby. She was only 15 years old when she gave birth to her son, Austin.
Honestly, things are pretty up in the air right now, and I’m just taking each day as it comes. My plate is *full* – I’m juggling finishing my book and everything that comes with the current season, so I’m really focused on not letting stress get the better of me. I know I can’t function – or make good decisions – if I’m completely overwhelmed and running around like crazy!
Mary revealed she had surgery to correct a condition where her uterus was divided by a membrane. She and Romain aren’t in a hurry to make any big decisions right now and are content enjoying life with their dog.
The real estate agent also mentioned their pet, Thor, saying their son, Romaine, absolutely adores him. Even if the sale doesn’t go through, Romaine is confident they’ll be fine as long as he has Thor, whom he’s completely in love with. They’re trying to stay positive and believe things will work out as they’re meant to.
Oh my gosh, Erin Andrews and Jarret Stoll! I’ve been following them for *years*, and it just warms my heart to see them as parents. Little Mack is SO cute! But you know, their road to parenthood wasn’t easy. It just breaks my heart to think about when Erin was diagnosed with cervical cancer back in 2017. They’ve been through so much, but they always seem to come out stronger. I’m seriously obsessed with their family!
After freezing her eggs before starting cancer treatment, she used IVF to get pregnant and decided to publicly share her journey.
She explained that she was simply exhausted from staying silent and finally decided to share her experiences in a 2021 essay. It had been a difficult and painful process, and she often felt detached, like a robot, stuck on an unpredictable and overwhelmingly negative emotional rollercoaster where bad news was the most likely outcome.
She explained that she’s very open and honest, and wanted to share how difficult the experience was, acknowledging that many couples and families struggle with trying to have a child.
