If the information is correct, World of Warcraft fans might not have to wait much longer for the next expansion to be released.
Thanks to information discovered by Wowhead, the update preparing for the new Midnight expansion could launch as soon as January 27th. They found this information hidden within a recently discovered splash screen.
If this is an indication, the release will likely happen before June 2026.
In addition to that, Wowhead shared details about other exciting features coming to World of Warcraft, including a complete player housing system.

A few months ago, it was announced that players who preordered the new Midnight expansion would get a head start on decorating their homes.
While there isn’t a confirmed date, the majority of the player housing features are expected to launch with patch 11.2.7 of The War Within, potentially in early December.
This initial release won’t include all the features. The complete system will become available when Midnight officially launches with the Neighborhood update.
What WoW Players Can Look Forward To
The recently discovered splash screen shows off the upcoming Demon Hunter class, the Neighborhoods feature, and the new Twilight Ascension event, as you can see in the image below.

Starting January 27th, players will be able to battle members of the Twilight Hammer cult in a special event.
The complete player housing system will be released with the launch of Neighborhoods, which is currently estimated to happen in February.
Players will be able to unlock decorations for their neighborhoods by participating in community events.
Besides these changes, the upcoming Midnight pre-patch will require players to stop using their preferred combat add-ons. Blizzard is planning to prevent players from using player-made modifications that affect combat.
Honestly, a lot of us in the gaming community were pretty bummed when we heard the news. I’ve even seen people saying they’re not bothering to update their mods and add-ons for the new expansion, which is a real shame.
