Would Dakota Johnson Appear in The Social Network Sequel? She Says…

Dakota Johnson is not going to throw away her first big acting gig.

Following confirmation by Aaron Sorokin that he is planning a second part of ‘The Social Network,’ inspired by The Facebook Files investigation by The Wall Street Journal, Dakota began contemplating where her character Amelia (who was Justin Timberlake’s character Sean Parker’s one-night stand) might be now and if she’d consider reprising her role in the sequel.

At the New York premiere of “Splitsville” on August 19th, I playfully quipped to Will Marfuggi from TopMob News, “She’s gone,” alluding to a fictional character, “She might have passed away.

Jesse Eisenberg, who played Mark Zuckerberg in the 2010 film about Facebook’s founding, declined the chance to reprise his role. However, Dakota hasn’t dismissed the idea of a comeback for her character. Regarding this possibility, she mused, “Why not? I enjoy a cameo.

Although the new sequel is currently in pre-production stages, fans of Dakota will have a chance to see her earlier in the movie “Splitsville,” which Dakota herself has called an “unromantic comedy.” The film will be released on August 22. (Be sure to catch more of Dakota on TopMob News tonight at 11 p.m.)

In a similar vein, as the 35-year-old artist cautioned fans not to anticipate a joyful conclusion from the breakup movie, her co-star Adria Arjona also conveyed to TopMob News that it’s definitely worth viewing, even just for the opening segment.

The opening ten pages of this film were some of the most exhilarating and humor-filled I’ve encountered, the actress of ‘Hit Man’ enthused. During those initial scenes, I found myself baffled yet amused, immersed in an abundance of comedy, followed by a spectacular stunt within the first ten pages.

Apart from expressing her deep affection for the movie, the 33-year-old executive producer, could not stop praising her experience working alongside Dakota, both during filming and behind the scenes.

She’s truly remarkable,” she went on, “so kind-hearted. Making a friend from this entire journey has been such a pleasant experience.
