Xbox Game Pass is getting two new games today. While one isn’t a major addition, the other is a standout title – likely the most popular game added to the service all year. However, this popular game isn’t available to all subscribers. It’s exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, costing $30 per month for Ultimate. It’s not a day-one release, and the limited availability is due to it being an addition through EA Play.
Today, February 5th, Xbox Game Pass is getting two new games: EA Sports Madden NFL 26 and Paw Patrol Rescue Wheels: Championship. Madden NFL 26 is available with all Game Pass plans, while Paw Patrol Rescue Wheels: Championship is only for Premium members. Madden NFL 26 is the more significant addition of the two.
The 6th Best-Selling Game of 2025
In 2025, EA Sports Madden NFL 26 was the sixth best-selling video game, following Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Monster Hunter Wilds, Borderlands 4, NBA 2K26, and Battlefield 6. While it might not appeal to everyone, Madden NFL 26 was particularly popular with the large number of American football fans, especially in the United States.
The game usually sells for $70, though discounts are common, so many Xbox and PC players who were hesitant to pay full price might be interested now. Many EA fans already wait about six months for games to appear on EA Play, and that time has come for this title. Best of all, this addition is permanent – at least until the game’s licensing expires in a couple of years, at which point it may be removed.
Okay, so if none of the new games on Xbox Game Pass are grabbing you right now, don’t worry, there’s more coming soon! We’ve got Relooted hitting on February 10th, and then a bunch more on the 12th – BlazBlue: Entropy Effect X, Starsand Island, and Roadside Research. If you can hold out just a little longer, High on Life 2 and Kingdom Come Deliverance are scheduled to drop on February 13th. I’m especially excited about those last two!
