If you frequently play online games on your Xbox Series X or S, you’ll likely be pleased with a recent announcement from Asha Sharma, the new CEO of Microsoft Gaming.
Good news! Players will soon be able to turn off Quick Resume on both consoles. This feature has caused problems with some online games, and many users have been asking for a way to disable it.
Quick Resume is useful for many single-player games, but Microsoft is smartly giving players control over it. Now, you can turn it off for any game where it doesn’t work perfectly. It’s easy to find the setting – just click “More” on the game’s tile on your Dashboard and toggle Quick Resume on or off.
The update is currently being tested with Xbox Insiders, and a larger version will be released in the coming weeks. It includes new ways to personalize your experience and user interface improvements designed to make things easier to find and use.
It’s great to see Microsoft adding more features to its current consoles. However, some believe their next console will still face strong competition from the PlayStation 6 when it eventually launches.
