
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is holding its yearly RGG Summit on September 24th, and it looks like one of the announcements slipped out early. Fans noticed *Yakuza Kiwami 3* listed on the official website, and although it’s been taken down, it’s still appearing in Google search results.
We don’t have many specifics yet, but a remake of the 2009 game in the popular action-adventure series makes sense. Though it improved on the two games before it, the English translation wasn’t great, and a lot of optional content was cut. It’s unclear if *Yakuza Kiwami 3* will fix these issues and other problems fans have pointed out, but an announcement coming next week hints that the game will be released soon.
RGG Studio is also developing a new *Virtua Fighter* game and a completely original title called *Stranger Than Heaven*. *Stranger Than Heaven* aims to build upon the gameplay style of the *Yakuza* series and is currently planned for release around 2027, though the developers might share more information soon.
