Yolanda Hadid Makes Rare Red Carpet Appearance With Bella Hadid

Yolanda Hadid is the ultimate lady in red.

Yolanda Hadid, known from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and her daughter, Bella Hadid, attended the Chopard Miracle Gala Evening at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18th. It was a rare public appearance for Yolanda.

Yolanda made her first red carpet appearance in four years alongside her daughter. For the event, the 62-year-old wore a red shirtdress with a fitted waist and pockets, accessorizing with a silver necklace and teardrop earrings.

Bella, age 29, stunned in a glittering gold gown by Elie Saab, accessorizing with a bold diamond necklace and earrings. Her mother, Yolanda, and brother, Anwar Hadid, 26, were also in attendance.

Yolanda Hadid, also the mother of Gigi Hadid (age 31) with her ex-husband Mohamed Hadid, has largely stayed out of the public eye since leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2016. This followed the Lyme disease diagnoses of her children, Bella and Anwar, which they received in 2012.

Even with her ongoing health challenges, she and Bella are dedicated to raising awareness and teaching people about Lyme disease.

In a 2021 interview with Vogue, Yolanda explained her belief in transforming personal struggles into something meaningful. She and her partner feel it’s important to use their public platforms for more than just self-promotion, and actively try to highlight the voices of those who are often unheard.

She explained that by openly discussing difficult experiences, we can help others understand important issues.

Although dealing with her illnesses has been incredibly difficult, the former reality star believes her diagnosis ultimately helped her develop the patience and dedication she needed to persevere.

Yolanda says she’s embraced a calmer, more genuine way of life. She’s also learned to accept and love herself, flaws and all.

She shared that she truly appreciates every moment with her loved ones. Reflecting on her life, she realized even the hard times ultimately helped her grow.

Yolanda is also thankful for her children, particularly for their support while her daughter Bella was recently in the hospital battling the illness.

In a September Instagram post, Yolanda praised Bella, writing, “I’m so proud of the fighter you are.” She also pledged her unwavering support, promising to be there for Bella “every step of the way, no matter how long this takes.”
