If your library uses Libby, all you need is a library card and the free app to start reading!
Dungeon Crawler Carl Now Has An Exclusive Home, But Is Still Easy to Access

Fans of Dungeon Crawler Carl can now enjoy the series, including the latest installment A Parade of Horribles, as ebooks through the Libby app. With 7 million copies sold, the series is part of the popular LitRPG genre, which is experiencing a huge surge in popularity on Libby. LitRPG ebook checkouts have increased by 600% in the last year, and continue to grow by more than 25% each quarter since early 2025.
Dinniman, who spent much of his childhood in libraries, expressed his joy that his books are now available to library patrons through the Libby app.
Jason Tyrrell, Executive Vice President of OverDrive (the company that created Libby), expressed excitement about adding Matt’s popular books to their platform. He believes that reaching as many readers as possible is the key goal for libraries, and this partnership will help connect more people—especially fans of LitRPG—with the valuable resources offered by public libraries.
The newest book in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series is called A Parade of Horribles. Here’s what it’s about, according to the official description.
With the city thrown into chaos by the recent Faction Wars, Carl and Donut are stuck on the tenth floor of the dungeon. There, they have to compete in a series of surprisingly ordinary challenges – races where the goal is simply to reach the finish line before anyone else. After each race, they get to improve their vehicle, but the courses become increasingly difficult. The whole situation feels strangely calm and straightforward, almost too easy.
Don’t worry about the weird problems that keep popping up. And whatever you hear about strange things happening on the eleventh floor – something the computer system calls ‘A Parade of Horribles’ – just try to ignore it. Nobody understands what that phrase means, not even the people in charge. The system AI just calls it a huge, ominous event.
You can get signed up for the Libby app right here. A Parade of Horribles is in stores now.
