You Could Own The World’s Most Expensive Manga, Days After Logan Paul Bought it for $550k

With the anime, manga, and a new season of the Netflix live-action series keeping it popular, One Piece is everywhere right now. Recently, WWE star and content creator Logan Paul purchased the very first issue of Shonen Jump magazine that featured Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece, paying over $500,000 for a graded copy. Now, fans will also have the opportunity to purchase copies of that historic first appearance.

Goldin is holding a major auction, the “2026 Spring TCG & Manga Elite Auction,” starting today and running until May 17th. It features a fantastic collection of rare manga and trading card game items, including issues recently purchased by Logan Paul, and much more. Highlights include incredibly important first editions: Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #51 from 1984, which introduced Dragon Ball; Issue #34 from 1997, debuting One Piece; and Issue #43 from 1999, showcasing the first appearance of Naruto. The auction also includes a collection of 12 sealed, first-edition One Piece trading card booster boxes. You can find more information and bid on these items and others by clicking here.

A One Piece/WWE Controversy

After Paul showed off his recent manga purchases from Shonen Jump, his friend and fellow streamer, iShowSpeed, confronted him. Speed is a huge, long-time fan of One Piece, often wearing merchandise and openly praising the series and its creator. When Paul posted a picture of his One Piece haul, Speed replied, “You don’t even know anything about One Piece,” clearly upset that Paul was getting involved in a series he feels so passionately about.

At the recent WWE event, iShowSpeed unexpectedly attacked his teammate, Logan Paul, with a powerful move called a “frog splash,” effectively ending their partnership. Because Logan Paul is a big fan of the anime One Piece and might be involved with WWE for a while, fans are now speculating about a possible collaboration between WWE and the One Piece franchise. With Netflix currently producing the third season of the live-action One Piece series, some believe a promotional crossover could be on the horizon.
