Daniel Coleman is sharing a heartbreaking family update.
The host of the YouTube show Danny Go! shared the heartbreaking news that his 14-year-old son, Isaac Coleman, has passed away after fighting stage 3 cancer of the mouth.
Ugh, my heart! Daniel posted on Instagram May 22nd, and it just destroyed me. He wrote, ‘Oh my sweet boy,’ and honestly, same! He said there’s so much he wants to say but can’t even find the words, and I totally get it. He already misses him SO much, and he said the pain is just… too much. It’s like, I feel his pain, you know? I’m a mess just reading it!
Daniel went on to say that while reviewing countless photos and videos from the past week, he felt incredibly proud. He acknowledged the many difficulties his child faced over fourteen years, but was amazed by their resilience and ability to maintain their cheerful spirit throughout it all.
It breaks my heart to talk about Isaac. He was 40 and, along with his amazing son Levi, who’s 11, he shared his life with his wife, Mindy Coleman. He meant the world to all of us, and it’s impossible to express just how much he touched everyone around him.
Oh, Isaac was just… special. I recently received a message saying he had this incredible spark, and it really resonated with me. It’s so lovely to be reminded of how much he was loved and how vibrantly he lived his life. It’s a truly comforting thought, you know?
The YouTuber concluded with a heartfelt message: “Being your father was the greatest honor of my life. I’m incredibly proud of you, and I’ll always love you. Rest in peace, my son.”

Daniel revealed in December that Isaac had been diagnosed with cancer. This wasn’t unexpected, as Isaac was born with Fanconi Anemia, a genetic condition where gene mutations can cause physical differences, blood disorders, bone marrow failure, and an increased risk of tumors, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
At the time, Daniel detailed the link between his cancer diagnosis and Fanconi Anemia.
I was so heartbroken when Daniel first shared the news about Isaac’s cancer back in December. It wasn’t a complete surprise, though, as Isaac was born with Fanconi Anemia. From what I understand, and according to experts at the Cleveland Clinic, it’s a genetic condition where certain genes change, and unfortunately, that can lead to physical differences, blood problems, and even bone marrow failure. It also sadly increases the risk of tumors, which is what we’re all so worried about now.
At the time, Daniel detailed the link between his cancer diagnosis and Fanconi Anemia.
Last week, we learned that Isaac has mouth cancer. While we knew this was a likely possibility due to his Fanconi anemia, it was still incredibly shocking news. It’s happening sooner than we expected, and we’re still processing it. We’ve been doing a lot of scans to see how far the cancer has spread. Right now, the doctors are planning to try and remove it with surgery as soon as possible.
And he expressed hope that the family could find the right treatment plan for Isaac.

I’m just praying they caught it early enough to get everything! Daniel said the spot is in a tricky place, and it might need a really big surgery, maybe even some work on the bone, so we’re all a little scared about what recovery will be like. But they want to move fast, which is good, so they’re thinking surgery will happen within the next couple of weeks. I just want this nightmare to be over for him!
He added that they were “taking it a step at a time and addressing the cancer aggressively.”

He was thankful they’d been able to take a family trip to the UK with their four children before Isaac received his diagnosis, and he shared happy photos from the vacation.
This has been really tough on Mindy and me, particularly with the holidays coming up,” Daniel shared. “I don’t know what the future holds for us, but I’m incredibly thankful we got to take a family trip abroad before everything changed.
