As you’d expect from a Bond film, there are lots of tricky puzzles and gadgets. To help you out, we’ve explained how to solve the fireplace puzzle in 007 First Light, including which animal symbols you need to choose.

I’m really enjoying 007 First Light! Besides the main missions, there are these cool locked safes and jewel cup games that add a lot of extra playtime. Honestly, I don’t mind at all – I’m loving getting to know the characters. And get this – I’ve heard there are actually three little hints connecting this game to the Daniel Craig Bond films, which is a neat detail!

There’s speculation that Patrick Gibson could be the next James Bond, and at the very least, fans are hoping for a follow-up to the game 007: First Light. However, creating First Light took seven years, so a new Bond film or sequel might be a while off.

007 First Light fireplace puzzle: Which animal symbols to select explained

In the 007 First Light game, the fireplace puzzle at the Grand Carpathian Hotel is solved by selecting the correct animal combinations.

In the dining room, a kitchen cart near the fireplace has a torn page. If you pick up and examine this page in the Items menu, you’ll find a drawing of a Chimaera, along with pictures of the fireplace and some mysterious symbols.
